Still fading. I would never be happy going to another organised religion. I feel the same as Bella too, I enjpy having a personal relationship with Christ (as well as God) that I never had before and I enjoy having my own personal beliefs without having anyone else tell me what I should or should not believe. Freedom!

Apostates are narrow-minded victims of brainwashing who believe everything they read
by cedars inor so says the person who left this comment on jwsurvey.org.... what just amazes me is how people can pass judgement on others, make vast sweeping statements and make out that they know best.
this isnt just based on this page, but other pages ive read on this website.
while youre at it why not just say all black people are criminals, all asians are rapists and all white people molest their children.

What's you BIGGEST pet peeve/disagreement with the WT or GB?!?
by TeenageInsider infor me its the district conventions.
not bragging in anyway, but i was born-into a family of 'higher ups' im talking co's and zo's..... and there is a room that they set up in the conventions/stadiums called the "chairmans office".
i always have access to these rooms, because im usually with one of my higher up family members who give talks and all that other crap.. anyways, while everyone in the convention is sitting in the sun, eating a slimy, soggy bolognia sandwich, the chairmans office is air conditioned, has a variety of chilled beverages, 'coke, pepsi, diet coke, gatorade, dasani water bottles,' not to mention the 'danishes, sandwich triangles, cookies, cakes, muffins, fresh coffee, and for lunch, pizza, salads, pastas, and lasagna'.

DD: Being totally alone in an auditorium full of thousands of people
Sitting at the memorial watching them reject the bread and wine like 'true' christians!
The constant eulogising of the FDS, the GB, the Organisation till it becomes nauseating.
The constant guilt tripping and pushing to do more more more.

Still Waiting For the Governing Body To Explain Their New Light
by Cameron_Don inregarding the governing bodys new light relative to matthew 24:45-47, anointedjw.org recently said the following:.
this new light certainly poses a problem for the governing body.
perhaps this is another reason why they have not yet published a sober and scriptural xplanation of this new light.

Yes it's been months since they introduced it. Lots of JWs haven't even seen it on jw.org yet! Those that have (that I've spoken to) seem a little uncomfortable about it, not really quite knowing what to make of it. I mean, why bring out a 'new light' and then hide it under a bushel?
It may just wake a few more JWs up....

Interesting Genetic Research Published on Dog Evolution
by cantleave insome interesting work has been published this month in nature and reported in various blogs and journals.
it is work that gives more evidence to support the fact of evolution.
a team of swedish scientists led by evolutionary geneticist erik axelsson from uppsala university have identified genetic changes that could have been responsible for the transformation of wild wolves, into the ancestors of our beloved pet dogs.

cofty: Until you have studied it carefully you don't qualify for an opinion.
Thanks... I'll keep my mouth shut then....

Cofty, no they are not the same 'kind'. What human would want to mate with a gorilla or chimpanzee? Far less produce offspring! Regardless of whether science has produced 'evidence' that man and apes come from a common ancestor.
Humans weren't even classified as being in the same family as apes until a few decades ago.

EP.. the word 'kind' is not meaningless. In scientific terms it would be the 'genus'. Anything within a genus can produce offspring, either fertile or infertile and in some cases even within a subfamily as in the case of true dogs (canini).
In the case of rabbits/cottontails/hares, although the same family they are different genera and so wouldn't produce offspring.
To me whatever can produce offspring is a 'kind' whether it belongs to species, genus or subfamily.

i put "outline" in quotes because.

I remember listening to a talk about Jesus last days on earth several years ago, on a tape recording. It was apparently an Australian CO giving the talk. It was amazing, the imagery was awesome and apart from the odd cough in the audience and a baby cry, you could have heard a pin drop. They were captivated. It most definitley wasn't an outline talk and I know the tape of it even reached here in the UK. I've often wondered about that CO. If he left and became 'apostate' and joined a christian faith... it wouldn't have surprised me.
