way back in the 70s around the time when the elders arrangement was new i recall a particular co who tried to replace all the circuit arrangement with young pioneers, in fact he tried to infest all of circuit with youth.

my father in law was removed by this person from his circuit position and that added to the complete disdain even contempt my fil had for him.

my fil was one of a small group that had formed congregation , built the kh with their own funds and where very loyal to the organisation, never commenting or expressing dissent in any form.

Do you say that I am an idiot because I can see demographics of a community may change that would require a downsize of congregations in a community? Or do you just again feel that kingdom halls should never be sold.....RO

So let me get this right, and correct me if I am wrong. Lets say that Watchtower says that the kingdom hall at location X is no longer needed and that it should be sold. But that Watchtower says that the congregation members can decide what to do with the proceeds and the majority of the members decide to send the proceeds to Watchtower, you would have no problem with that right?.....RO

Votes normally go the way the WBT$ wants..

JWs donate to their congregations,its congregation money..

The congregation makes the decisions..

The way you make it sound like is so easy but these are just a small fraction of the complicated questions you would have to answer.....RO

By people with very little common sense and complete loyalty to the WBT$..

So Outlaw. If a kingdom hall is too small or no longer needed the property should just be kept there to make you happy.....RO

The JW Congregation should do what ever they like..

With the property they bought and paid for....

The WBT$ should keep their thieving hands off of it..

Which would solve the second problem of the WBT$ stealing cash..

Made from the sale of the real estate,JW`s paid for..

Random Thoughts on Getting Older

the reality that all of us ultimately must face is that we get older and our bodies, and our minds eventually fail us.

i have seen this first hand in my family, in the jw community, and in the ex-jw community.

it is simply a sad part of the human condition, as is physical, emotional, and mental illness.

from the memorial to the new world translation to the general stupid things said in the hall it seems like some bizzaro world where some supernatural entity controls everything in an attempt to mock god..

I find it ironic that so many people here have the problem with Watchtower because you claim that Watchtower forces you what to think and believe, but have no problem with this......RO

Watchtower would rather JWs didn`t have any outside interests,including going to the Cinema..

The WBT$ would rather you didn`t even own a friggin pet!..

This is nothing more than WBT$ Self Promotion..
