i know that some people on the board have experience of being mormons, so i would be interested in your feedback.
at church this afternoon it was an uncanny experience.
in the past i've read a lot about mormons, so i thought i was prepared in general for what it would be like.

In Mormonism, the concept of divinity centers around an idea of "exaltation" and "eternal progression": mortals themselves may become gods and goddesses in the afterlife, be rulers of their own heavenly kingdoms, have spirit children, and increase in power and glory forever.
That Should Be Interesting..
If True..
Eventually you`ll Rule your own Heavenly Kingdom..
And..
Rabid Atheist Preachers will spend their lives arguing endlessly..
About whether you Exist or Not..

i heard today about a former jw/now apostate who is dying in hospital.
this information was accompanied by the comment of "wouldn't be awful to be lying there in hospital, dying as an apostate!
knowing that you have no hope!?
"how awful it must be to be dying as an apostate!"
There Are Worse Fates..
Much Worse..
i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

Just so you know..
I don`t have a problem with people of faith..
If people want to believe in God,I`m good with that..

The Urantia Book is the only quasi-religious book that effectively answers all questions and issues of atheists..
And, fyi, it was written by contemporaries and eyewitnesses.....Believer

the videos are online, the first talk is scripted, the bible highlights are scripted.
you could get the same experience by just reading and watching the material from your tablet.

does anybody have any quotes from watchtower literature or video that shows what their stance is on associating with family who have left the witnesses?
or even what the unofficial stance is?.
not disfellowshipped or officially disassociated, just "inactive" for say 15-20 years, but also openly living a "worldly" life birthdays, holidays, including attending another church?
What is the official stance on shunning family that "faded"?
Inactive JW`s are labeled as bad association....Blondie
tell him that jesus probably didn't get married or it would have mentioned it in the bible, but at the same time we can't be 100% sure he didn't get married because it doesn't specifically say he didn't get married.
stand back watch fireworks.. i thought it was a pretty reasonable thing to say.
