What were you favorite book in the organization? I know what you're thinking...LOL!
by BashfulAshG inwhat were *your favorite *books in the organization?.
out of all of those books, i liked "mankind's search for god.
" however, it appears to me that this book is incredibly obscure and no one recalls studying it during the old book study format.

I liked the Revelation book, the Daniel book, and before that, the Your WIll Be Done book. Of course, I liked the Insight books as well. -

Saturday morning someone rang the doorbell. Normally, I don’t answer, but I was expecting someone at 10:30 to pick me up and go somewhere. And lo and behold, two older JW women. Unfortunately, I was pressed for time and am still trying to maintain my fade locally. I wanted to talk about the Royal Commission and so forth, but I didn’t.
Basically the conversation went like this:
She said, “We are here to talk about some good news…” Then the light of recognition came to her eyes. She said, “I remember you’ve been to the Kingdom Hall.”
I told her, “I am…” It took me a second to cycle through a word that was truthful and yet would not set off an aposta-alarm. “…inactive.”
She said, “Well, if you’d like to come back and talk to the brothers…”
I said, “I have talked to the brothers there and it was very traumatic for me.”
Of course, they didn’t know what to say to that, so she settled at, “Well, you know where we are. We meet at 10 o’clock. What’s your name?”
I didn’t want to give them my name but I didn’t want to be rude. So I just gave her my first name. Obviously I know that she is going to write that down on her slip or hand that to one of the elders. I didn’t name any names or say anything to specific or incriminating. Hopefully what I said conveyed I don’t want ‘the brothers’ to visit.

Serious question about the Australian RC and the WTBTS.
by DATA-DOG ini have not been in a position to watch all of the interviews, so i'm sure that i missed a few things.
here is my question.
were either elders or ministerial servants accused of sexually abusing children, or were the accused just lowly r&f publishers or bible studies?

A word of advice clining to their persecutors ...
by SecretSlaveClass inlet me start off by saying i do not presume to have the answers, i am merely offering advice.. i will preface this posting with this, cutting a long story short:.
my sister was raped by a popular jw lad wh's dad happen to be a rock star elder.
in the attempt to fight him off his face was covered with scratches and it was reported to the police ( instead of rape he was sentenced on the lesser charges of sexual battery and assault) but he confessed to having violent, consentual sex.

I agree that the younger a person can wake up and become independent the better of they will be, especially before getting dunked. Unfortunately, not everyone is as fortunate. Many wake up in midlife and sometimes later, and by then, they are deeply enmeshed with their social network of friends and family. It’s not as easy for these to step away. There is not a simple one-size-fits-all path for everyone who wakes up.

From looking at the PDF the Royal Commission posted:
Only 89 listed who were not JWs.
24 whose status is unclear or missing.
89 unbaptized publishers.
688 parishioners…I assume they are publishers.
8 pioneers.
69 ministerial servants (4 might be elders…listed either elder or MS)
38 elders.
1 circuit overseer.
