I’ve been trying to figure that out myself and am no closer to the answer. On one hand, when I see how scholars are quoted out of context, it is outright deception. When I see some of the GB in videos, they seem to really believe it, even when they are spouting nonsense. Are the GB really the ones in charge or are they just figureheads? How deep does the rabbit hole go?

Dragging Jehovah's name trough the mud!
by truthseekeriam inlistening to the first survivor testify to the australian royal commission really brought back some feelings i had put aside.. the feelings of guilt you feel for doing the right thing is extremely hard even when you know it's illogical it doesn't stop the abuse you do to yourself with these toxic thoughts of "dragging jehovah's name through the mud" i guess it doesn't help that you have the elders freaking out saying "reproach, reproach...this is bad!!
it took quite awhile for me to come to terms with how completely ridicules it is to think jehovah would want this hidden.
the truth is the religion wants it hidden and they are perfectly fine with destroying lives along the way!!

1,000 sex abuse cases hidden in Australia for 68,000 publishers...what is it worldwide?
by cappytan inthe press is reporting that over 1,000 cases of abuse were hidden from authorities in australia.. australia has around 68,000 publishers.. if you that ratio applied to the u.s. also, there could be over 14,700 cases that were covered up here.. if the ratio held the same worldwide, that would be over 117,600 cases.. just let that sink in a little..

Russell v Russell: the 1908 court transcript
by Londo111 indoes anyone know how to obtain a copy?.
i have poked around pennsylvania websites, attempting to figure out how to obtain the transcript, but recently, i have it on good authority that the transcript went missing from the pennsylvania archives over 30 years ago.
it is likely that there is vested interest (jws, bible students) to keep this hidden..

the kingdom hall i used to attend and my mom still attends was paid off many years ago and serves about 6 congregations.
one of the english congregations has a lot of financially well of members.

In countries like Mexico, Central and South America (and many African countries) these things are much easier to cover up. There’s no telling how rampant the problem is in those places.
