EdenOne: Thanks.
Sherry: Double thanks! Well, in this organization one has some hairraising experiences. I'm suprised I am not bald sometimes to...I've often wanted to pull my hair out at the insanity of it all.

this is my third year since i signed up on jwn and i wanted to do something a bit different--a slight unmasking of sorts and greet everyone face to face.
even with the help of a few notes, this is rambling, raw, and by no means the best personal experience video out there.

Steve2: Thanks...but set your expectations low.
Baltar: Ha! I relate to Vir quite a bit. And my best friend reminded me greatly of Lennier...he's the person who introduced me to Babylon 5.

I’m not really great in this venue, but I did want to say hello, and hopefully convey what’s in my heart.
As to any JWs out there who are just beginning your research into the 'truth about the truth':
this is the scuttlebutt in one of the "bethel congregations" by us.. no details as to exactly what this "faith-testing" announcement might be.. anyone else hear any of this pre-zone visit hype?.

.
AlwaysBusy: I'm sorry to hear that. So tragic!

I'm glad to see the occasional JW apologist...they are getting fewer and fewer. Gone are the days of debating 607 and robust doctrinal arguements.
Where have all the apologists gone?

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."--James 1:27
What does the Watchtower or even the local Kingdom Hall do to look after orphans and widows?
i saw this exact headline on jw-archive.org and couldn't find no other info about it.
anyone know anything?.
possible hoax ha ha.. .
It’s fun to speculate…
I am starting to wonder if this announcement (if there is any) will involve implementing in the US what is being announced in the UK. Selling of Kingdom Halls. 4 congregations per Kingdom Hall. A mass reorging of congregations.
Maybe coupled with “basic” pioneering and simplified ways of counting time.
calling all tos, tng, ds9, voyager, or enterprise fans, what's your favorite serries and why?
and what's your favorite episode and why?.
(too many choices on netflix for me to decide which to watch right now).
TNG, TOS.
I didn't like Enterprise when it originally came on, but later on Netflix I gave it more of a chance and loved it! I think Enterprise began to fix many of the problems in earlier series. Not everything had a technological solution, the story didn't always get resolved at the end of the episode.
my grandfather only had a third grade education and knew little about the bible when jws called on him.
he was a different breed of jw than those of modern times.
he truly cared about people and would give them the shirt off his back.
Thank you all.
Magnum: I guess you could say I am a liberal/progressive Christian...and sometimes I wonder if I'm bordering suspiciously close to being akin to a Unitarian Universalist. Nonetheless, I defiantly don’t claim to have all or many of the answers.

Thank you. It's been a year to the day of his passing.
I believe many of those who came out of the Great Depression era really cared for their fellowman.
