Sometimes I wish I had had the courage to leave a long time ago. But I suppose as often as I thought of it I dismissed it because of fear and quilt and my father would have killed me.

most jws i knew had some unexplainable ailment or 2. and a number suffered from depression!!
I wonder what ever happened to that scripture that says Jehovah will not let you suffer more than you can bare. Therefore none of the witnesses should be on medications for anything according to this scripture if they have faith in him. Because really who can endure the pain of depression and its devasting effects, well frankly not many so then if they ask God then it should stop and they are all happy and healthy campers.
Or is that one of Russells ole time remedies or Rutherford's tonics with a dash of bitters.
Wonder if Moses had to deal with all the same crap when the Isrealites were in the wilderness for 40 years?

Oh yeah what about that text that says if anyone among you is sick anoint that person with oil. So like why so much mental illness in the organization it is because they are expected to do the impossible and in this day and age the impossible is just that impossible leading to issues of illness of types. ulcers, IBS, depression, COD, Mental or emotional breakdowns.

I am with Blondie on this, I think there still are a few rotton skeletons in the closets at the Bethel and one day a can of worms will open that will either destroy them entirely or will cause a massive exodus from their empire.
Surely someone must know a bit of juicy tidbit to share with us and keeping it all to themselves. Oh come out where ever you are. Don't dangle a carrot in front of us.

there is a poster on here called reniaa and she has said a few times that we worship the cross.
i know i don't and know my family don't.
so i decided to look into it to find out if what she is saying is true.
I happen to own several crosses and a cruxifix, and to me they symbolize the very supreme sacrifice of our beloved Lord when I wear it , it is a reminder to me of the His life gift for us as our redeemer and saviour and as well a perfect balance to God's plan.
I honour our Lord Jesus Christ by keeping him close to my heart. Just as I would keep photographs of all my loved ones in my wallet or pocket and ipictures of my husband and grandparents that have passed away I don't worship them I savour the love and respect due them by memorializing them in keeping their photographs beside me. I see no wrong in that at all.
If someone where to say one of the 10 commandments says not to worship a craven image or bow down to it. As a Chirstian I know of no one who bows down and idolizes the cross, when we bow before our altar we are merely showing respect to our God and saviour for His life that He gave on our behalf. John 3:16
It is a reverence to show Christ how much we love and honour Him. When we are in a court of law do we not show the same respect and honour to a judge when we bow and address him as my Lord or my Worship. Absoultley not in no way whatsoever.
So There is no worshipping of the cross in any Anglican Church I know of and I don't worship the cross or cruxific I wear. Only ones who are screwed up in the head are JW's. They have diluted the word of God not the other way around. I can't believe that for one minute I was in that borg for 38 years . Man I should be grounds.

i'm amazed at how many on this forum, believe the gb really believes their own lie, that they are god's "official channel".
are there many of you that believe as i do.
i believe somewhere deep down they know they are just fooling people.
As each and every day goes by, I just know these members of the GB are aging rapidly, I mean these men are really old, what happens when they are all gone. What will happen then, who will take the helm as it were? I recollect just before I left in 99 the WTS claimed they were grooming younger ones to take spots as members of the GB, I am not so sure if this is so. But be that as it may the problem lies next in who is going to be the next high commander and chief?
It will be interesting to see what transformation will happen with in the next five years. They are selling off everything in NY City and moving out into the rural area. Or Are they really just going to take the rest of their lives to rest and let the younger groomed ones take over? I suspect it will never ever be a offical channel used by God, it will become a legal empire. They have left themselves open for millions of dollars in laws suits and for each case they loss think of the legal costs on top of it. It will be astromonical. It is interesting to see what is going to happen soon.

although i still have doubts there is life after death, i believe i would be hanging on to every last vestige of my son that i could and that means talking to him.

realizing this is his final resting place.
If I were to loose my child I would have him cremated and keep his ashes. This I have done with my husbands ashes. I have one large urn and the small urn and this is the one that some day I hope to take to Greece and his ashes over the Mediterranean Sea. I know he is in a far better place a place somewhere in the vastness of God's great universe. Be it heaven or another planet. I often feel the energy of something in my home and I am certian it is Marco's or my guardian Angel I don't fear this energy, It comforts me and when I feel it I talk to it. I know some of you may think that I am bizarre but I feel completely normal and have all my mental facilities in place. It is a pleasant feeling to feel this warm closeness. In fact sometimes I thought my son was here and went to say something to him only to recall he wasn't here but at his home.
I know if my child/children were in a gravesite I would visit it and would know that all the remains are ashes and bones, but if it comforts me to be there for clousure or just to talk to my child then why not. I is theraputic for some, some can't let go and for them it is their comfort. I know when I have visited my grandparents grave and my great grandparents my aunt talks about them and the things we remember about them and there lives. We say things to them as well. We also tidy up around their sites. They all were soldiers in WW2 except for my grandma's but they did their part for the war effort. I miss them all very much but I know in my heart I shall see them again. I know that and believe that with all my heart. In life they were the most wonderful human beings alive. They made me what I am today. And it had nothing to do with the JW's because they weren't JWs they were there for me when I was growing up in my formative years until I nearly 13 so I had some beautiful teachers and loving grandparents who taught my to love God my neighbour, our country and then the destitute and unfortunate people of the world. They all taught me how to pray. I loved them so much and that is why I hated being a JW because it forced me to relinquish my rights as a child of God who worshipped already as an Anglican and was forced to be a witness. I was a rebel and didn't want that to happen. But my parents won, ,,and grandma was livid.
Oh well.
Lets just make every effort while our loved ones are alive to love them with all our hearts and if they die we won't ever have to feel any guilt and if for some reason our loved ones spurn us don't blame yourself it is they who choose this course and blaming your self won't change how they felt.

yes snozzy that is the letter, what did you think of it? Pretty cheeky on my part and I know I was a naughty girl but when you are so desperate to survive you rationalize anything to get out. But I knew what I was doing and I calculated the cost of my sin and I knew that I took a big chance with God and hoping he would please forgive my actions. I wanted out of that terrible marriage, I wanted him to have the right to remarry should he choose and I wanted to be out of the organzition desperately. I was going over the edge. I needed sanity not insanity and in Marco I gained his love and strength to do what was needed to be done, he was the catylst but we ended up madly in love and wow it was a whirlwind of love in our marriage. Short and marvelous. I will never regret leaving, I regret the sin, I know God has long forgiven me, and I didn't need three men to tell me what I alread y knew. They were not going to hear anything from me what so ever. There biggest horror was this ....was the person you did it with a witness. Get a load of that will you,, I should have said yes and left them guessing ..
But truly Snozzy I really feel that they had no right to disfellowship me as they just proceeded without any evidence whatsoever they just took my ex's word and my stupid sisters word.
I don't care though I am free and that is what I wanted and I know God made it happen and he heard my prayers but I think he was upset with the way I did it. But that was then and this is now and I know God is a fair and just God and I know he wouldn't be blessing me if he held that against me.
