I hope someone does purchase it. Having a physical copy of any book is of great importance. There is a lot of retroactive continuity changes being made in book. This is especially so with Watchtower publications.

Nearly complete JW literature collection for sale
by jukief inas many of you know, alan feuerbacher spent 40 years researching watchtower.
during that time, he bought every item of watchtower literature he could find.
his collection is so big that it’s impossible for me to try to catalog it, although i might be able to get some volunteers to help me with that.

Here's a question that I guarantee no one has ever thought of!
by nowwhat? inunlike men who took no note, surely the fallen angels knew of gods plan to flood the earth, so why didn't they build an ark(s) for their nephilum sons?

Great question!
Follow up question - Why not just get your Nephilum kids onto Noah's ark?

I remember kid parties where the children were to dress like characters from the Bible. Many characters were loyal servants of Jehovah who spilled generous amounts of gentile blood to clear out the promised land. That was ok.
I remember a party where we played Bible charades. When it was my turn I conscripted the youngest children as possible and my brother. I was Elisha. The children were children. My brother the bear. As my brother pretended to maul the small children all the adults laughed.
I am so glad we never went to one of the those awful pirate parties.

I had 2 new firsts for 2022 -
1. No Memorial invites texted to me from my PIMI family members
2. The letter with the Memorial invite from the local congregation had no instructions on Zoom Memorial or in-person Memorial.

Severance TV Show
by Simon inwe watched the season 1 finale of this apple tv series last night.
what an amazingly well-done show!.
it's a surreal world, but based in our own, and you don't have a clue where the plot is really headed but the drama builds all the way through.. there were some major reveals about the characters and it ended on a peach of a cliffhanger, so if there isn't a series 2 already in production i'll be storming apple hq to ask why.. some of it may give you wts vibes, the cult-like world they live in and the "forced" celebrations for various things, but while some of it is a little "sci-fi" it's kind of believable.. in case you don't know the main premise is that it follows people around their work at a company with a very sterile-like environment.

Response to "The Flood is Real, Because ..."
by Simon ini remember one of the flowchart responses to people questioning the biblical flood was something along the lines that "every culture has a flood story".. of course, nearly everywhere has flooded at one time or another and we know there are minor floods and then there are the 1-in-1000 year kind of weather event, that tend to get a mention (anyone from the uk will still talk about the summer of '76, and that's probably nothing in comparison to a decent flood).. but the inference is that the flood must be real, because every culture has a flood story.. the best response is "now do dragons".. because apparently, nearly every culture also has a dragon legend.. does it mean dragons exist?
some desperate jw may show their ignorance by suggesting that man lived at the same time as dinosaurs and they are what the stories were based on.
fun fact: stegosaurus was a fossil when t-rex was alive for longer than it's been since t-rex has been a fossil to us - we're talking old, and no overlap (ignore the map in the cover of the old green bible).. do jws still even bother trying to defend the cray-cray aesop-fable kind of ot beliefs?.

Japan lacks a major flood myth. Japanese scholars in the 19th century such as Hirata Atsutane and Motoori Norinaga used the global flood myths of other cultures to argue for the supremacy of Shinto and promote Japanese nationalism. - Through Japanese Eyes by Richard H. Not all ancient cultures have a flood myth. When Japan became exposed to other cultures they learned those cultures had global flood myths. As Japan had no such story in it's past, the Japanese used this as proof that Japan was superior, the highest point on the Earth, and must be heaven.
What I find interesting is how there are 2 street signs in the world view of those who use other flood myths as proof of the flood in Genesis - One Way and No Turn. Why is it that other cultures global flood myths are valuable as proof of Noah's Ark, but the global flood in Genesis is not proof of the Epic of Gilgamesh?
In addition, those same cultures often have with their flood myths a creation myth. Yet, those creation myths receive no attention from those who look to bolster the story of Noah. It seems that only the Bible and Christianity can be true. All other religion or mythology is only good for providing evidence to support the exact same fantastic claims made by Christians.
There is a term for this phenomena - Confirmation Bias.
