This good news of the kingdom
by Rattigan350 ingrowing up around the faith, whenever i heard something taught, i'd always think there is a different way of looking at that, probably better.. we always hear "this good news of the kingdom will be preached... " matt 24:14.. so i think, is there more to it than preaching the kingdom?.

The divinity of Jesus was invented after his death if he even existed. When Jesus says "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you," he meant it. Jesus never said, "I am the son of God." What Jesus said in plain English is "I am divine," and he continued "Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods"'?"

Do we really need this many prayers in a day?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthere’s no proof that prayers have any effect whatsoever, other than perhaps giving the person who prays a false sense of having done something.
all claims that prayers have been answered are either anecdotal, fraudulent, delusional or are the result of either pure coincidence or confirmation bias.. how many prayers do you need in a day?.
you get up and eat breakfast...you pray for another day of life.

Prayer is mostly pointless in the Judeo-Christian practice.
The Lord/God/Jehovah/Jesus is a real, omniscient person who knows the past, present, and future simultaneously. He already knows -
- What He is going to do
- What you are going to do
- What you need
- What you want
Even a prayer of thanks is unnecessary as if you are truly grateful He already knows it before you receive your Godly gift and before you appreciate it.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
It was already hallowed.
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
If He wants it done it is getting done. No prayers required.
Give us this day our daily bread,
If you're getting it you're getting it. He decided before you were born whether you were getting it or not.
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
I've got nothing on this. If you are truly sorry you should voice your apology.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
He doesn't lead anyone anywhere. That is why it is called "freewill".

How many of you remember the "Pioneer Shuffle " and the special "time reporting" of pioneers?
by Foolednomore ini started pioneering in my late teens an remember how slow pioneers would walk to the doors while out in circus.
also, they would not really talk to anybody at all.
they would start their time as soon as they got dressed an out the door, while us regular shucks started our time at the first door we knocked at.

There are some low rent outdoor apartments near one Kingdom Hall I attended for a long time. Those apartments had these little structures that contained washers and clothes dryers. We would roll by the complex laundromats to drop off an old set of magazines to start our time.
From there it was off to breakfast before the meeting for field service. That was like a guaranteed 10 hours of field service time a week for mid-week service. That's 40 hours a month!

We are pleased to inform you that the Governing Body has decided that barring any local governmental restrictions, we will encourage all congregations to begin holding in-person meetings the week of April 1. This will mean that in most cases, congregations will be able to meet in person for the Memorial. Further details will be sent to each congregation.

Why do you call yourselves "apostates?"

i know you call yourselves apostates because the bible defines people who leave their previously held beliefs as apostates.
my question means, if the bible is not true (and i don't think it is) then there is no such thing as an apostate.i have never been a jw, only a bible student with them.

I would just ask that if you support the war efforts of the nation you are a citizen of to take your adult children and your self down to your local armed forces recruiter to enlist. I would also ask that you ask your government to pass a law that makes it mandatory that elected government officials must enlist their children into the armed forces.
The U.S. hasn't gone to war since the draft ended. The U.S. military has gone to war. There's a big difference.
