What I would like to do is get these distributed at all the local churches so that when JWs show up to invite people to the Memorial, they will get handed an anti-witness nearly every time.

Putting together a brochure that debunks the "Memorial"...
by Alfred inwith "memorial season" just around the corner, i am planning to put together a small brochure (or maybe just a plain-looking document on letter-sized paper) that exposes the embarassing fact that jws still hold their "memorial" every year even though, by their own teachings, they should have had their last one in 1914. i plan to give it to the next elder who stops by to "count his time" during memorial season.
but hopefully, this will happen before they start canvassing my neighborhood since i plan to distribute it to my neighbors as well.. i've just started this morning with the following "quick draft" (but i would appreciate your comments and insight... thanks):.
jehovah's witnesses, why are you still inviting people to "the memorial"?.

I am now officially an Ex-JW!!!!
by Momma-Tossed-Me ini am now officially by being announced at congregation level that i am no longer one of jehovahs wihtnesses.
that news spread like wild fire and i was dropped by all jw's on facebook, which shows the level of control the borg has in this area.
what is interesting is there was no juducial committee.

Active JW understands flaws in WTS doctrine but believes in the Bible
by flamegrilled inperhaps this is a common topic for newbies on the site, but i have browsed for a while and not seen this exactly answered.. as an active jw who understands the flaws in wts doctrine, but believes in the bible, how do i identify a form of worship that meets all the criterea:.
1) by this all will know you are my disciples if you have love among yourselves (john 13:35).
sure i know that not all jws do this, and that people from other religions or non-religious people do this also, but as an official doctrine jws will not kill one another in war, and in general there is a genuine effort to exercise "agape" love not widely found in the world at large.. 2) preach the good news.

That sounds great. I like the idea of it. My hesitance in believing that it is entirely true is due to the pattern set by the early Christians. Are there any examples of converts who established a relationship with Christ in isolation and then he led them to a group? I can't think of any. The gospel was preached and then as people learned the truth about Christ
Where can we learn the truth about Christ today? How did I learn the gospel and come to Christ?

Open your Bible flamegrilled and read Acts chapter 9. Was this person appointed by the apostles? What did he do in what order? When did he meet with an organization or gain approval from "the governing body" of the time?
I would like answers.

Alfred, I might use your tract this memorial season. :) Look at this scripture!
so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28
It is pretty clear to me that there is no "appearing in 1914" and again in the future.

As for Hebrews 10:25 I suggest that you read the scripture and pray for understanding. Let go of any pre-conceived ideas of what the scripture means. I personally disagree with both you and N. Drew.
I would also like to point out that Job, Moses, and Paul were not parts of an organization. Neither was Cornelius or the Ethiopian. Phillip led him to Christ in a very short time and then was whisked away. He didn't need more teaching.

Flamegrilled, the problem is your order of things. First, one must go to Christ. Then Christ will lead you to the group of people he wants you with.
John 5: 39 “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; 40 and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
The Lord is alive. He leads us with His Spirit. Once you have the Spirit to guide you these other things are much easier to answer.
Romans 8:14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Yes Tammy!
Christ is the Way. If you are unsure about what He wants from you, then ask Him to help and to guide you. No one else knows the truth, more than the Truth.
He teaches those who ask Him to.
1 John 5:1;11-12 Everyone believing Jesus is the Christ has been born from God. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life;
1 John 2:23, 27 Whoever has the Son has the Father also. The anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

Besides YHWH there is no Savior! Besides YHWH there is no god, not even "a god".
Isaiah 44:24 "This is what the LORD says--your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself, who was with me?
Who is the Most Holy One of Israel? Is He not YHWH Himself?
Daniel 9: 24 “Seventyweeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy
