  whenever the new yearbooks come out, we all look at the figures and see the publisher increase never really matches up with the baptism figures.

  it never should match up as all newly baptized ones are already publishers, and may have been for many years.

  i, as an example, became an unbaptized publisher at age 11. i didn't get baptized until i was 17. .

  there is a footnote on page 138 of this book; it has to do with the number 2,520 being a perfect number and the result of multiplying the four perfect numbers in sequence.

  i have done the math and it works.

  I thought I had heard it all, but this is new to me. Really interesting. I expect the 'perfect number' bit predates the WT by a long shot. Probably Franz picked it out of some old Adventist literature, or even older. He was known to consult Jewish commentaries on the OT at times.

  It is apparent that the number of congregations tracks the number of publishers. The number of publishers per congregation is comparatively flat.

  we've been bombarded by spam a number of times in the last few weeks and last night was the worst yet.

  i already built some tools to make removing it easier because i think the longer it stays up, the more it encourages it, but still it's annoying to see and interferes with the operation of the site.

  fortunately, we were able to catch and remove it relatively quickly.. i've now implemented and deployed some additional protection measures which i hope will better detect and block it from appearing in the first place.

  so we had brother losch visiting our special assembly day which was weird in itself.

  he's not a very good speaker and seemed like he was in dire need of a nap or something.. anyways just a few observations from the assembly program.
