  Question for atheists and nonbelievers

  i profess to teach the truth to you all and get you to all to think and believe.

  believing in christ through his words and not through evil religious cults, like hoj and jw, can and will save you.

  do you all realize that every time you are victorious and receive something of value through your hard work and sweat, it was our holy god who blessed you.

  It was hard to find a question in that that is answerable.

  You comment: "And the truth is that when you got your gift or anything good that happened in your life, our Yahweh has blessed you out of his love for you" seems is a bit out there. I think it boarders on extreme.

  Do you really believe that "anything" that is good is a gift from god???? Really? So, If I don't believe in god, why is my life pretty good? And how about those good Christians who have a pretty crappy life? Is god punishing them?

  I really tried to believe in god, I really did. But I just can't.

  Praying in Public?

  hellloooo fellow apostates, mentally diseased devil worshippers :) how is everyone?.

  today, i listened to a song about praying and how one can pray anywhere.

  well, this song brought back the horror of sitting in restaurants, mcdonalds, coffee shops etc and having a group of brothers and sister bow their head and pray for what seemed to be an eternity.

  I was in a restaurant with my Nigerian friend. He asked if he could pray when our food arrived, I agreed and he said a prayer. It was quite nice and I was not at all self-conscious about this display of faith.

  i know of the local congregation's issues, per an elder i know quite well.

  he has said that nearly everyone in the congregation is suffering emotionally and mentally.

  he said he has never seen so many witnesses with so many problems.

  it is called "jehovah loves all sorts of people", and features an awful song about how "jehovah loves everyone" even "different colors", etc....yep...they actually say that!.

  There is a difference between "all sorts of people" and "everyone." I don't think they imply that he loves everyone.

  Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me

  so, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.

  i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.

  from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

  do you want to know why i think people don't believe in god?

  well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.

  they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

  I really tried to believe in god, I really did. But in the end the closest I can get is to call myself agnostic.

  Active posters: What education have you had, what degrees do you possess?

  from so many posts and conversations on here, you'd think over 1/2 the posters here possess doctorates in theology, physics, biology, etc.

  i'm curious aside from the books and research people have done here, what degrees they have.

  to start, i just got an aa and going straight through full time to an mba.

  Also, just to be clear, I finished my degree and received my CPA when I was very near the age of 50. You are never to old to get a good education.
