Very interesting story. Thank you for posting this. Keep us updated on the progress. Even if you accept the premise that churches should be tax exempt - this does not mean that the complete supply chain used to service the church should be tax exempt. -

Isn't the simplified version for those with limited reading skills? Perhaps they thought that disfellowshipping is too big a word with too many syllables. -

Asshole Atheism – Not for me, now or ever.
by donny into start off with let me clarify that by asshole atheism i am not referring to strong atheism or any other type of upfront atheism.
what i am referring to is the belligerent, hateful atheism that smacks of trolls and other types who want to derail conversation or comments at any cost..
i enjoy hearing comments from both sides of the subjects of theism, nationalism or politics, especially from those who have intense opinions.

One of the reasons I don't consider myself an atheist is because of the elitism - or as you describe "asshole-ism" - that emanates from way too many atheists. When asked if I am an atheist, my response is that I am not one of the "cool kids" and thus do not subscribe to their asshole theories. -

A Question for Underground Apostates, How Many Are There?
by Village Idiot inwhen i first came to this forum i was of the belief that those of us who were still in due to family reasons were few in numbers perhaps one in a thousand in the jws.
soon i came to the realization that there were many more.
we have dozens of posters here who are mentally out but still in.

We need to develop a secret hand shake or phrase so we know who is living on the dark side, but still in the heart of the Borg. It has been many years since I went to my last meeting; but while in, I was sure that I was surrounded by those of similar thinking - we just didn't know. -

its interesting - check it out.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57nigmnim18.
the show is called game show social - i looked at a few of the videos and jw.org is on a lot of them.. at first i thought that it was a review of a jw.org app but when you look at other videos jw.org is on a lot of them as a sponsor as well as dell lg and others.. wgo..

2034 is going to be a huge letdown for the dubs
by wha happened? ini've seen a few postings of a possible "next date" for dubs of 2034. based on an article they published comparing the last days to the days of noah.
preaching for 120 years.
however, i noticed a little tidbit from wiki about age:.

Let's not go on wishing the years away. I have a lot of living between now and 2034. I don't really care about future predictions. They will simply fade away as time passes. -

How many of you still believe in God or are still Christians?
by JWCartPusher inhello, i asked a new but old friend how many people are still christians after leaving the watchtower's mind control agency, for statistical purposes do you mind if i do a survey and see how many of you are believers?.
please don't post if your not a believer out of respect for this poll, we need to sharpen each other's sword and help build each other up and meet new friends over the internet with faith in god or some other force of the universe.
i asked another person how we can still manage our faith after getting burned by the high group mind control, he had a few ideas but he's not really involved with god because of how life burned him.

I would like to believe in god, but as hard as try I just can't do it. But I promise to keep trying.
