  this has been set up as a not-for-profit. There are no IRS Form 990s on Guidestar. Perhaps because it is too new. But this will be one to watch.

  This is a simple means of shielding assets from future litigation. Soon when someone decides to sue the Watchtower or Jehovah's Witnesses they will find no assets to collect even if they win. The goodies of money and property are being dispersed through many separate legal organizations.

  Sister attendants not able to give directions to a brother..Misogyny

  at our recent rc i was advised by a sister who was an attendant that they have been advised not to be able to give brothers directions as this should be dealt with by the brothers.

  apparently at the pre-convention attendants meeting, the sisters were asked to stay behind.

  this was when they were given the news that the brothers should deal with brothers.

  No, thank you very much, they are marvelous pointers, I agree. But my problem is that I would focus on the pointers and not where they are pointing.

  I think it is obvious why sisters cant give direction - they do not have a penis to point with. How can you give directions without a pointer???

  Meetings Are Really Getting Fun

  so last night i got to have some more fun at the meeting.. the serve us indoctrination session was thirty minutes of interrogation and answers about the "these words must be on your heart" video.. question three was, "what scriptural formula leads to the best chance of success in raising children?

  " then before any answers the conductor had deut.

  I always loved the expectation of a big announcement. Growing up a witness I don't know how many times I was lead to believe there was something big just around the corner. With no exception I was always disappointed - always. But perhaps this time it really will be something big...

  While a young child we had a DF sister in the congregation who continued to go out in service. I doubt that she turned in her time but there was no doubt that she was crazy.

  i'm not the first to notice what i'm about to point out and comment accordingly, but today i felt compelled to add a short article on my blog highlighting the new language that governing body member geoffrey jackson supplies as a response.

  since geoffrey jackson's appearance before the australian royal commission on friday there has for some been an expressed feeling of anticlimax.

  it is as though he was given too much latitude to preach, to claim ignorance and to skirt questions.

  more to the point, as much as i myself thought i would never have expected to say this, gj actually came across as likeable and - don't throttle me please!

  This is a marathon. I agree with the comment that these proceedings change the strategy for all future court cases. For example, do you think that Monica Applewhite's career will ever recover after this? Her days of expert witnessing are over.
