I was considering getting another copy of one of Ray's books and was shocked about the market value. Is Ray's book worth $1,000? Perhaps, but it is a bit shocking. It is interesting that Ray's book is one of my most valuable investments.

when you were still asleep in the watchtower organization and had no idea of ttatt.
what would you have done if you were in a serious accident and all of a sudden you woke up in the emergency hospital room with all the brothers and sisters at your side and your spouse cheering you on to be faithful to jehovah.
then the doctor comes up to you and tells you that you are about to go into surgery because there is no time to lose and the only way to live is to take a blood transfusion ?
another jehovah's witness woman has died while giving birth due to massive blood loss and refusing a blood transfusion.
she leaves nine children behind.
she finally consented to the transfusion but it was too late to save her.
This is coerced suicide. In other words, murder.
I agree. This is unbelievably sad.
my guy with the lurk account on jwtalk (where all the kool-aid drinking jws go to talk about how wonderful 'the twoof' is) sent me some more interesting threads, here's one:.
spoiler: starting new the new service year september.
"there will be new directives from the branch through the circuit overseer on dress and grooming that will disqualify one to be a congregation publisher.
so while 99% of the closing prayer i did not hear, what i did was the elder say "we need to encourage our young ones to get baptised.
we can't let the world take anymore of them away" .
i found this very strange and looked up in disbelief.
Who is this "we" he is talking about. Given that the prayer is a conversation with god, isn't his language indicating that he is telling god what to do!?
I always hated it when the one giving the prayer uses this as an opportunity to pontificate an opinion
i was told that today by a jw...no more to say.
i think it is reasonable for every leader or head of any organization that has control of peoples thinking and actions should, by law, submit to a lie detector test.
the results would be accessible to any one who had an interest in the matter.this test would be required before appointment to any position and on a yearly basis.
questions could be submitted to a competent and unbiased committee for approval.
could someone do me a favor and post the picture on page 9 on the above mentioned watchtower.. i'll point it out, very surprised no one else has picked up on this creepy image..
if you had to pinpoint the time or experience that finally made you open your eyes, what would it be?.
i think for me it was the time i saw my dad shun his brother who he had not seen in decades just because he was a da'ed jw.
i thought to my self "no way jesus would do that.
I was a highly discouraged witness that wanted to prove that my life was not a waste. In the process I was in a debate with someone on an AOL chat room and the individual proved unequivocally that what I was taught was a lie.
I remember the exact moment when it clicked. I felt very ill and sat on a chair in the family room and was overwhelmed with sadness.
I remember just feeling overwhelmed. Even to this day, 25 years later, I remember this feeing.
this photo can be found in the april 15 , study edition article titled:.
why disfellowshipping is a loving provision.
just by looking at this image we can see how quickly the barrier between the congregation and former member is put up, after the announcement that this sister is no longer one of jehovah's witneses.
If this is the actual picture from the Watchtower, it tells a wonderful story. The young lady was rejected by these black and white people. In the process of the rejection she gained her true colors. While painful to walk away, the future holds many promising options. As she grows in her new life her colors will continue to grow brighter.
I wish the lady in blue well.
