What kind of demented mother would name their kid Peter Peterson. Maybe she was an "E"philia.

i have a feeling i am going to have to explain to my jw folks why i have decided to allow my children to participate in holidays at school.
theyll probably be wondering too why i will get together with our non jw family for the holidays.. .
we know jws avoid holidays because of their pagan origins.
One of the things I never understood is why people considered pagans so evil. Given what their impact is on modern society, I think they should be proud (that is if they all wern't dead).
Tell me what you are doing today that is unique and will be remembered thousands of years from now - get my point? Those pagans had a handle on the human experience.
why is it that people who display self-righteous hypocritical behaviour are so blind as not to see what kind of people they really are?.
You are answering your own question. Those who are hypocritical behave just as you describe.
it amazes me!.
witnesses go on about how "blessed we are to have the website and all the content from jehovah etc".
but i have been noticing the parallels between jws and the mormons!.
The jw.org is a web site. Nothing more nothing less. It has some pretty pictures. The content is so dumbed down that a viewer is not expected to learn anything. If this is god's spirit I am not impressed.

The whole tight pants story was funny, but it has ran its course. I hope we all had a good laugh and can move on.
Unfortunately, some appear to be wanting to make a career out of this; i.e. “legal ramifications??” Come on, you are taking yourself way too seriously.
nasa discovery proves the bible scientifically accurate.
the debate.
for decades there has been a long standing debate between science and religion as to the validity of the biblical genesis account of creation.
I love the pictures, but have no idea what the point is. I am surprised you did not cut and past the whole book of Genesis. That would have impressed me.
thankfully my parents are converts so they aren't wierd.
seemed pretty popular by all accounts.
they are "popular" jws even now.
Does being a JW make you a weirdo - or, does the JW religion attract those beyond 3 standard deviation of normal? I think it is the latter.
There are many that are a bit weird, but I agree that there is a concentration in the JW religion.
i just opened a pdf of a wt.. would someone like to count a placement?.
.
.
Can I count this placement? Let's all count it.

skin-tight pants are a no-no in public, church leader says,.
Well said donuthole. In the good old days the GB could rant all they wanted about the most asinine things. Guess what, those days are over. The take away is that the world is looking in and laughing.
This is not the image they are trying to portray on jw.org.
that's the word according to my mil.
mrs hoser is starting a new career and the college and work training will take her four years to complete.
her mom is giving her a hard time telling her that the system will be over before she graduates.
4 years from now is the perfect time period. It is close enough out that the end is still iminent, but far enough out that you don't have to be accountable for your prediction.
I remember more that a few similar conversations. Although, I remember the brothers use 2 years, not 4.
