Disrupting literature carts
by perfect1 ini am ready for a little guerilla warfare (no one gets hurt, of course).
but these literature carts in the city need to go.
everytime i walk by its all i can do to keep from knocking the thing over.. any ideas on how to destroy their little stash of paper.. so far my best idea is water, pouring water all over it.

I got one in the mail. The funny thing is it was form my old hall and it was from an elder's wife because she puts her intials on the back of the envelope. Just shows they are not even paying attention while they are "preaching". Probably gossiping the whole time.

I feel nostalgic and for a second, even felt like I wanted to go back.

i was thinking about the district convention coming up this summer and i have to honestly say that i miss being there and hearing about some really good bible advices.
you know, about how to be a better husband and father, how to be balance with entertainment or money, how to priorities love and despise wickedness.

Why do you need someone from a stage to tell you what you can gather from reading the bible in the comfort of your couch? Hell, Olsteen is on TV every Sunday preaching the same stuff. I think it may be more the sense of belonging you feel when you are surrounded by 6000 other people who are nodding their head in agreement or, more likely, falling asleep.

How much more strange can this get ?
by man in black inladt night i was talking to a coworker who's sister is a witness in my old hall, and i needed some asprin after listening to this.. how can this be tolerated by people who believe that they alone speak the truth ?.
a young couple ( early 30's) had two children, and they adopted another boy from the inner city, so they have three boys under the age of 13.. the father is a construction worker, and mom works pt doing various jobs.. as a babysitter they use the respected teenaged son of a very prominent elder.
well, the parents breakup.

These things, sadly, happen all over the world and to people of all religions. Its doesnt seem fair, it doesnt seem right and it doesnt seem normal but they happen. However, when it happens to witnesses it seems worse because of how judgemental they are of others and due to their constant claim of having a clean and perfect organization. Although this is a very sad event, what makes it worse is these kinds of things should not be happening in Jehovah's clean and perfect Org; more so if you are doing everything to serve him.
Whether or not the majority of witnesses are depressed is debatable and requires proof but there is definitely a strong sense of dissapointment among the sheep. This is what happens when you belong to a group that has so much undue pride and arrogance.

Seriously, how can anybody reads this and not think it was totally bizzare? There is a reason they put this so early in this, of all years. I am usually not one to make psuedo prophetic statement but, this coupled with the "listen to us even if it seem crazy" statement in the WT study and everything else they have been spouting, points to some big changes.
Or maybe ive just forgotten how brain dead I used to be.

OOOO...thats a hard one. I think its a toss up between Fred Franz and the current spin doctors they have now. Fred Franz I think could have and probably would have started his own cult had he not become a JW. But at least his ideas had math and most likely involved many years of studying alone for hours and hours. Some of his stuff at least made some kind of sense.
So I guess the current 8 wannabees take the watchtarded award. The overlapping crap I think would have even made old Freddy facepalm!

Were People Surprised When You Left The Witnesses?
by minimus inmine was a gradual going away.
but once it dawned on them, i think people were shocked that i left the religion i espoused from youth.. were people "in the truth" and "in the world" surprised by your departure?.
