Perusing this thread, I was struck by the irony of how the WTBTS constantly pressures elders to take a VISIBLE lead in the field ministry, but our supposed Leader, Jesus Christ, leads INVISIBLY!
For many years, we had a pioneer sister in our congregation that always turned in a complete Field Service Report, yet no one ever saw her out in service. We jokingly called her our Phantom Pioneer. Now I understand. She learned from the GB and just followed the example of Christ's invisible presence. Interesting that she turned in her reports. Probably she didn't want the elders harassing shepherding her!

I just know that whenever I come, it's not invisible!
with many of us here on jwn in a fading state trying to stay halfway connected to jw relatives - i thought it would be informative and helpful to know what the wt society is telling jehovah's witnesses about who or who should not be their close friends.
so if you experience even more shunning than normal - this article may be influencing some jw's to do this.
you won't find any new information here- but the wt society is definitely trying to control who witnesses hang out with.. in the article " is your recreation beneficial " ?
It's all just so much WT propaganda BS. How convenient that they forget the accusations against Jesus for eating with sinners, tax collectors and prostitutes!
