Looks like we are in for another snow storm tonight. They say it will finally warm up and turn to rain by afternoon.
It's been cold her, folks! In the teens at night and barely 30 in the daytime.
it snowed here at the end of december and i said then that it usually doesn't snow here in the seattle area until january or february.. well.............they predicted a big snowstorm last night, and it didn't happen, but it's snowing now, really hard.
not sure if it will last long, because the weather forecasters can't seem to predict much correctly, other than rain and wind.. i was hoping to take pictures but it's dark, so will have to wait until morning.
a cold front is supposedly going to last awhile here, so the snow should be around for a few days this time..

more than likely the wt will not be mentioned, but may be worth watching.
it is on "the history channel" two hours from now on the program "decoding the past"
I think I saw this one awhile back. If it's the same one, they do mention the Millerites. The artwork they used is all too familiar.
has anyone called bethel to confirm that this is an official proclamation?.
a few 1000 phone calls might get some attention... probably cause warning talks on getting your information thru emails instead of publications ... i know some of you here do call bethel on occasion..just wondering if anyone has called to ask about this latest stuff..
my JW friend called me yesterday morning, on her way to the KH to tell me her brother in law called them to tell them not to pass on that email, and that it is not verified. I laughed.
She said she is always upset by that kind of information, until she talks to us. My hubby was kibbutzing, and telling her not to outfit the lifeboat just yet, and a few other goodies. She felt more relaxed afterwards.
She also said she can't believe that I know things about them before she hears it at the KH. She often calls me to tell me some news, and I read it here weeks earlier. Then she gets mad because I hadn't told her.
i dont think i have a particular style.
in fact it changed through different stages of my life.
as a kid i loved reading novels, which changed once i came into my teens, and i started developing interest in hard stuff of natural world, psychology, ancient cultures and mysteries.
I haven't read many of the classics because I find the ones I've tried to read a horrendous bore! I must have a short attention span, because they just go on and on and on and on............I want to scream "get on with the story,.......I don't care what everyone is wearing".
I started reading Daphne du Maurier when I was a teen, and have read all of her books now. And I read all of Edna Ferber's too, in high school. That's as close to classic books as I get, although I did enjoy Shakespeare.
Now I like to read historical novels, but admit to reading Danielle Steele too. A friend told me I needed to read Norah Roberts' books so I've gotten several of those, and haven't started yet. I have read 3 of Dan Brown's books, ............he's the one who wrote The Da Vinci Code.
Currently I am reading The End of Faith by Sam Harris, at the suggestion of my brother. Pretty slow reading, but interesting.
warning: the wtbts is becoming more cultish as evidenced in this mp3.
listener take heed.
turn on all your cult warning alarms on.. .
I got this email two days ago, from an ex JW elder. It had been sent to him by a friend and I laughed, thinking it was a joke. Then my JW best friend, told me about it yesterday. We both thought it must be a trick because they wouldn't do this again.
I can't believe they might actually have said these things.

PS - here is a picture of our "babies" from xmas time. Getting them to hold still long enough was quite a feat!

I had no idea you had little ones. Very cute. Aloha!!

It looks like it snowed a lot all night. We got about 2-3 inches. So pretty. The skies are clear now and it's really cold, below freezing.
I haven't heard a school report but they are probably closed today.
I think the reason things slow to almost a stop here, when it snows, is because there are very few snow plows, not enough trucks to sand the roads, and the State or City governments are cheap, and they don't want to spend the money to de-ice the roads, buy snow plows and more sanding trucks. We really don't usually get enough snow to justify spending that kind of money.....................yet.

In the "banana belt" between Lake Union and Greenlake it is snowing very lightly at 5:15 PM, melting on the streets and sidewalks, but about 0.1 inch on the lawns and trees. It is so quiet...
I know what you mean. It is soooo quiet. The snow didn't fall for very long, but we got about 3/4 of an inch.
People who are not familiar with Seattle will find this hard to believe, but there is one particularly peculiar Seattle driving habit that is amazing: when the snow starts coming down, people who are driving on the freeway will just stop - many times where they are - and get out of their cars and begin walking. After a hard snow, I-5 and I-405 and other major highways are littered with abandoned cars.
That is very weird. I try to avoid that by staying home when there is snow on the roads.
The evening commute was pretty bad tonight. Tomorrow morning will be worse, when all the wet stuff is ice.
i am a rather old fogey on the matter - just black and hot.
but i like the occasional mocha.. what use of this universal bean is your favorite?
how many do you drink a week?
My favorite is Starbuck's Gold Coast blend, but I rarely buy it.
At home I use Costco's Kirkland Costa Rica blend, that they roast at the store. They have self-serve grinders there so I usually do it when I buy the coffee.
I drink it black only. Seldom use creamers unless I buy an occasional latte at Starbucks.
real help!
please no criticism and such that people seem to spew!.
i have not been to a bookstudy in a year or been door to door either.. been using travel and health of my wife and family (actually very true) but they're relentless!!!.
I think it's a good idea to turn time in when you are fading. It sort of keeps you off their radar. Bummer that your father is the PO.
Moving might be good.
