i had an elder mark me, rallied all the other elders and some members against me (save a few elders). turns out this fucking guy is into reading about satanic rituals, making dark pacts with the devil.....this same guy is asked to give the prayer at the memorial. you know how they used to say how much worse it is, if you know you are sinning and continue in that sin? well this should apply to anyone walking into a kingdom hall. you have the information now, you know what type of sick fucks these people are who are "appointed to watch over your soul"... you continue to walk into the kingdom hall, and you are knowingly committing the worst possible sin. you are propping up these individuals. save a small percentage of them, who are decent human beings....who are just convinced any questioning is apostasy. poor bastards.

by Free!! ini was a baptized jw for about 6 years in a spanish congregation.. and i never ever ever heard anything about "marking"... what is that??
i knew someone can be disfellowshipped, publicly/privately reproved or dissasociated themselves.. but i never heard of marking.. can someone please care to explain that term to me?.

this really doesn't mean much. they may have been liars, but unless you have full access to their medical records, probably not going to make an accurate conclusion. do you have any idea how huge the que is for disability in the USA right now? and how many people get denied? if you get on disability more than likely the government and doctors know what is going on more than you do. there are drugs available that can make a crippled person run a marathon. there are remission factors as well as other factors. i've seen mostly these pioneers do nothing except drive around in their cars all day, stop and eat donuts. once in a while they do something that actually takes a real effort. also if someone does complain what happens? they are labeled a complainer and people whisper about them? so yea.
the way i've observed the elders treat the sick inside the congregations, is one of the reasons i came to the conclusion this definitely 100% absolutely is not "the truth". it really draws out the true colors of this "corporation", these guys make the right wing blush in the area of how the sick are treated. it's possibly the greatest red flag you will ever see that this is absolutely positively a 100% cult.

crazy, but that is what jw's believe ... i believed it ... sure, there were times that it caused dissonance ... but i accepted that explanation, you have to in order to think you have the truth, how else can you justify the good done by people of other faiths, sure, you could write off some of it as the natural good that comes from people being created in god's image, but too much good from anything religious must be a tool of satan to distract you from the truth taught exclusively by jehovah's witnesses.. a non-denominational christian church that is relatively new in my area has experienced considerable growth and attracts all kinds of people.

interesting in those verses jesus refers to "satan's kingdom", then one sentence later he refers to him as beezlebub. wonder why he uses this variance within one sentence of eachother....as well as the context calling for absolute clarity. does seem odd?

(or the concept thereof). you can argue within the parameters, or you can dismiss all the parameters due to insufficient data.

while i respect your opinion poppers, and agree with you that our weak minds are incapable (atleast right now) of knowing proof positive one way or the other. i personally would have to say the animal works purely off instinct, which we obviously work partially off of, but we humans differentiate instinct from logic. that to me is the point of consciousness. objective reasoning, the ability to step outside of yourself mentally and formulate ideas in the 3rd person. it actually says no to the linear universe, no i reject you linear universe. and man has tangible evidence that this rejection of linear processes driven by void conscious instinct, actually does produce something. it's not just some delusion of grandeur, it actually is feasible.

your conduit transformer thing is fine, but based on the evidence, doesn't it suggest the brain would need to be of a grade of quality (an evolved state), before that can happen? meaning to some degree (or large degree) the physical world dictates whether the organism will be able to attain consciousness.... reasoning, atleast part of that ability for consciousness can be nailed down in a lab. (if not most)
