she was telling me that she smokes from time to time.

i do not think i will go too far with her since i hate smoking odors.

So I am possessed am I?

well after a long spell of silence, i managed to get into a discussion about what happens when i get angry in the heat of the moment arguements with my jw wife.

i did have and arguement with my partner and ended up throwing something on the floor as i was very wound up.

(it is much better to express my anger this way than to hurt anyone).

Apparently Satan was working through me at that moment..........really? I would have spat my coffee out of my mouth if I was taking a sip at the time at this observation Perhaps this may have been an anthropmorphic phalacy at this point in the discussion however on closer examination of what is meant by Satan I came to understand that this is an actuallity in her ( converted ) eyes.

I retorted that this statement of me being possessed is simply not true and I am ultimately responsible for my own actions as they precceeded my own thoughts ( and reactions). But . Further into the dicussion I asked if mentally ill patients are also possessed by demons...She agreed with this. From a medically trained person who was trained in an atheist country ( USSR) I am taken back by this breath taking statement and realised how strong the WT doctrines are wrong and how quickly it has wiped out her reason and understanding. Are we to regress to the dark ages again and rely on excrosism to treat mentally ill people?? I cannot comprehend the stupidity and danger in these sorts of thoughts.

excuse the pun but What the hell are the WT teaching their followers about modern medical practices??

Oh yes please. I am debating the subject with my beloved at the moment. She told me that the Apostates want to steal christians away from the JWs and put them on a different path of false teaching. In the 2 hour discussion I had many facepalm moments.

Atheists going to hell...who said this was true?

this is written in the bibe..sorry i am not sure exactly where...would be nice if someone could direct me to the exact passage.

i feel however this contrived just to promote the reason for persecution of non believers.

okay ,, this is a question and a confession.

we have had an issue come to a head in this household of mine.

after getting to the bottom of my parners intentions i have given her an ultimatum knowing all too well she will choose the jws over myself and family.

Shepard, I know my wife is an adult, capable of making her own decisions. This makes it all the more important for her to consider her family and not sign up to any legal document that allows a non family member to decide if my wife should live or die if it came to it. This is the whole issue. Why would anyone willing want to put their family through pain like unnesseccary loss???? There is more to this that just a possessive motive.

I know she so desperately wants a place in paradise and giving the JWs the power of attorney on issues like this she thinks is going to secure this place regardless of the rest of her familiy. I have not spoken to her since we argued last week about this,... She has become even more withdrawn reading only WT material and clinging on to her bible desperately, reading out aloud as if she was trying to exorcise demons in the room.

I know she is hurting inside too but is running away from it like an adolesant teenager who will not consider a change back in mind. I am in very sincere doubt about spending the rest of my life with her now, even if an effort is made to make her see the truth it will be so time consuming I would rather spend it on out boy to make sure he is developing properly.

The most important issue is that about mind control....yes,... I have some books and PDFs on the subject now but on reading one certain publication I realised how much we'd already covered in previous "discussions" . I realise that the WT or / and her blble teacher ( by her responses) have already covered almost everything ..She has painted herself into a tidy little corner and no one is coming out. The WT have ensured she is going to stay in that position. I am sure the WatchTower have read the books and adjusted some of their publications to combat any interferrance. Like the Borg, they are so adaptive I think the older publications are of less use than they used to be. We will see in the next few days what will happen with our relationship and I have heeded your words on this . the last thing I want to do is see both me and my son out in the street.

She goes off to church and says nothing, like today. All dressed up nice. A man picked her up from outside the front of the house in his car and drove off. I do not know who this man is. What else could I think is possibly happening. Just really fed up with it. The whole image of the church is appealing with the contacts, activities and friendship of people who speak her own native tongue I know that even the work she'll have to do will be easy, as she had a hard time in her own home country.

I think personally, she would dump the boy on me and getting back to what I said earlier in this post about the situation, perhaps this is just her real personality exposed. She is not mentally ill. If I add that we were married 10 years ago in the Ukraine, she was after a better life then so we eventually moved to Great Britian where she found the place not as she expected. I think this is very much behind the motivation for her willingness...She wants this paradise so much it is, from a failing hubands stance, painful to watch?? Yes it is.

I was reading the book of Enoch, which is incidently was not choosen to be included as a book in the bible surprisingly . On reading this book, Enoch who is actually mentioned as walking with god had visions and was shown heaven. In that place the was a place god had made for the non believer. Amazing. To me this shows that christianity is actually a carefully constructed organisation to have only one purpose,..and that is not to tell the truth.

The Jehovahs Witness Baby Sitter

just thought id pop in with a new thread concerning the development on my childrens lives.

my youngest daughter goes to a babysitter who is a sister in my wifes congregation.

the reason being is because the child is an infant and regular daycare is much too expensive.

I would sincerely consider what the prime objectives of the WATCHTOWER organisation are,..then you will know what to do about the babysitter. If saving souls in the prime objective and armageddon is to be on us soon, then the urgency of saving and influencing as many as possible in the ways of jehovahs' laws are paramount to a Jehovah Witness.

Do not be deceived. I have lost my wife to them lock, stock and barrel.

You already know my situation My wife and I are not talking to each other at the moment because I crossed her about the blood issue and the legal documents. I spend more time with my child now, I am not working so can afford this. The main thing I have been concerned with is not to talk about his mum and the church negatively or put her down in any way...this is my golden rule however I feel she is not of the same vain naturally and it doesn't help that she will read the WT books constantly so the AD HOMINEN is alway present. I was very annoyed that my wife was however scaring our some with a bible stroy about howw god killed a man and his dihonest wife for keeping some money back for themselves after selling their land off for the church...this story is in a JW publication that was recomened for my child to know the love of god...!!

Remember they use theocratical warfare. I have been on the receiving end of subtle lies after her BS teacher knew my stance. They used to whisper when they though I may be listening and recently I was accused of trying to disrupt lessons with my questions,... You can only decide what you want to do. I was raised Roman Catholic as a child and my Dad is devout but I have turned Atheist totally after the JWs destroyed what little belief I had..so not all bad.

I am not sure if they tell children that the world is coming soon but perhaps the "chicken little " childs story may help your children to understand that after saying to everyone that the sky is falling in my actually help them to realise (even only ater in life) that some people only busy themselves about saying things like that that aren't true.

I think the damage from the EVIL Watchtower comes with repetition.

I am in a situation where my wife would sacrifice her own child and husband just to ensure she has a place in paradise. The watchTower are indeed evil and twisted. I looked at the publication which tells of how twisted and metally ill the apostates are that in itself is evil.
