The Challenge of Being Post Theocratic Men and Women
by Mindchild inthe defining moment that notified us of our expulsion from the borg to living in the real world caught a lot of us at unexpected times and different ages of our lives.
the borg hammer knocked a lot of us flat when we least expected it but what is important is not how you got knocked down but rather if you can pick yourself up.
it?s no secret that many ex-dubs are not able to get mastery over their anger and pain and end up victimizing themselves even more with addictions, or various strategies to avoid the difficult work of re-inventing ourselves.

Do Ex-JW men really understand women?
by Mindchild inhey guys, .
in light of our past shared watchtower delusions, especially relating to understanding women, i thought it would be interesting to see how well everyone scores compared to your real world counterparts in understanding women.. you can take the sexual aptitude test here: http://www.menshealth.com/cda/quizleadin/1,6927,s1-2-0-0-427,00.html.
no cheating now!

I was hoping you could give me a little something for my birthday present:)
by Mindchild ini got a birthday coming up in a few days and while cyber hugs and spanks are swell, there is something i really would enjoy getting for my birthday!
it is just a little bit of hope.. you see, sorry to tell you this, but one of the consequences (for me anyway) for looking at life so seriously and rationally, is that i'm really running close to empty when it comes to having a positive future 10-20-30 or more years down the road.
so, what do you have now for hope?

I predict bold new changes in JW preaching work..want to bet me? :-)
by Mindchild inive decided to post something i have been thinking about for quite some time now.
to keep things short and sweet: i predict revolutionary changes in jw policy regarding door-to-door activity and the means of spreading their memeplex (belief system.
here is a list of the changes i feel most confident about:

Are British and French cats changing behavior of posters here?
by Mindchild innow this is weird and just came over the news:
"britain's estimated nine million domestic cats are being blamed by scientists for infecting up to half the population with a parasite that can alter peoples personalities.
the figures emerge from studies into toxoplasma gondii, a parasite carried by almost all the uk's feline population and maybe elsewhere in the world.

Are you really who you think you are?
by Mindchild ini recently enjoyed reading another post on an ex-jw board about how our past experiences as witnesses have shaped our lives and made us who we are.
there is obvious truth to the effect that our past experiences do effect how we see our selves now, but i think many people who leave the borg are still enslaved to the idea that they are the same person they were then.
i disagree and think things are a little more complex than that.

Authentic Happiness for Ex-JWs Part 1
by Mindchild instrange as it seems, the happiest day i remember of in my entire life as a jehovahs witness happened on the opening day of a week long district assembly in california when i was a young teenager.
three things came together that day to give me a short glimpse of authentic happiness.
the first was that my parents decided i was old enough to give me just a tiny bit more freedom and allow me to sit where i wanted, to do volunteer work if i wanted, and even gave me a few dollars for meals.

Is this the most important thread on this site?
by Mindchild indear friends,.
in light of the recent events on this site and the birthing of a new ex-jw online forum by bboy, i thought the most important thing i can offer any who are interested is an opportunity to positively and personally promote changes to make your online experience here not only more fun, but more rewarding to you personally.
i did a lot of searching for information about the evolution and changing of online communities and i discovered this article below that just blew me away with its insight and practicality.
