  today i am very sad.

  at the convention i met the sister i had a crush on at 16 years... (25 years ago!)..

  we're both married (with someone else) and i found out she has had a lot of problems.. and i'm finding out i still want to have a dinner with her..

  i live in staffordshire and we have reports of shops on fire in tamworth.

  wtf is going on... the high value shops are missing all there rails now and just herd chemsley wood and dudley are on fire... .

  the federal public ministry at ceara, brazil, on july 14, 2011 filed a civil action against the religion of jehovah's witnesses in the 8th federal court for practicing religious discrimination against former members.

  prosecutor nilce cunha rodrigues has taken on official representation of sebastian oliveira (ramos) who, after being expelled from the religion was discriminated against by colleagues, friends and relatives, including his mother, in accord with norms of the jehovahs witnesses who are headed by a governing body of the watchtower society.

  I echo everyone else here in saying I sincerely hope it starts a Worldwide prescedent. The EU Bill of Human Rights covers the same rights but so far it's not been taken up in the Court.

  My teacher's spidey-sense was set off by the writing styles. They're very similar. I just ran this post and one of Godrulz's through I Write Like and both gave the result as Dan Brown! LOL

  If my Uni network account hadn't been suspended while my course is on hiatus I'd have run them through Turnitin to get a more accurate result.

  i'm a long time lurker here.. i'm not and never have been a jw, but i am trying to get an understanding of what it means to be disfellowshipped for the sake of someone i know.. my husband and i pastor a small church, we're nothing special, just a group of people who get together to seek god.

  Money and power I guess. She had business interests in the WTBTS and had a great deal of say in the daily running of the WTBTS and was awarded alimony and provided with a home when the divorce was finalised.

  MS - it raises lots of possible explanations:

  ? - Oedipal Trauma as suggested by Clarity - he lost his younger siblings and mother.

  ? - Impotence or some other genito-urinary disease - he suffered from frequent cystitis in later life.

  ? - Repressed homosexuality.

  ? - A belief that sex be purely for procreation.

  ? - He was into other women - the alleged 'intimacy' with his foster daughter Rose Ball.
