Brain Washing of John Walker
by Victor_E inthis morning on the way to work i was listening to the john walker story and they quoted an immanent expert on brain washing, according to her this will most likely be his defense.
what his team of lawyers will attempt to prove is that he was a highly impressionable teenager who was misled and brainwashed.
i am sure this is going to raise very interesting issues.

cursive writing
by Shimmer injust curious about something.
i am currently homeschooling my daughter, and she is learning to write in cursive.
and it got me to wondering, does anybody even use cursive writing anymore other than to sign their name?

What I don't type, I print. It[to me] is a much clearer means of written communication. Less chance of mis-interpetation. I do sign my name in cursive.

John Walker
by mike047 inthe u.s. government is returning john walker to the states for trial.
what do you consider an appropriate punishment for his mis-deeds?.
i think, he should be[if found guilty]stipped of his citizenship and returned to somewhere in the mideast to spend the rest of his life, with no possibility to return to the u.s. for any reason.

Yeru; life in prison would be good[an enduring punishment], but why should the U.S. taxpayers support him in luxury[federal prison]for the remainder of his life.

The Problem of Evil --- The Plot
by LoneWolf inhello, again.. this is the second of three parts.
we're starting to get into the meat of the subject here, and you should find some information on many of the objections that were brought up on the first one, as well as gravedancers thread.. let me reiterate again that these thoughts are not meant to be definative answers.
they are a work in progress and reflect the direction that seems logical and interesting.

RHW, I don't think the American public will blink an eye. With in the wts, the r&f will do as you suggest and the overlords will have damage contol to deal with. You are right about every little crack helps, but most people just don't care.

Anyone doubting that Elvis is dead should have watched the Raven/Steelers game!!!!!!

I,personally, think that when it is aired that it will not cause even a bump in the road for wts. Most of the public won't be concerned and won't even remember the program. An awful lot of people will only consider what directly affects them personally.

You can't have any pudding, if you don't eat your meat.
