Can you post the issue and page number you are referring to? Or give us a quote? Anything more at all?
The headline is great but "Wow" is not much of an OP.

the book costs 140.00, but i bought it.
i agree with dr. de vienne's review.
You can follow their research on their history blog. Link was posted earlier.
It's good to hear they are continuing with this book. Does it have a name at this point? Or if not, how would you search for it at the above link?

@ OldGoat,
A bit off topic, but you once wrote an OP about a book project started by Schulz and de Vienne that was discontinued; It was a follow up to Separate Identity, if I remember correctly. Did that book ever get back on track, or has it been shelved permanently? Sorry, I can't remember the name of it."the creative day" how long was each day?
defend.
maybe this was posted before but i found this site.. search the above site.
JWs have never officially rescinded their view that each creative day was exactly 7000 years long.
That's not unusual for Watchtower. To officially rescind a false teaching would simply draw attention to the fact that they were wrong, not something Watchtower leadership likes to do.
For example they never officially rescinded the teaching that the 144,000 were "sealed" (meaning the number was complete) by 1935 either, even though there are plenty of anointed today, including Governing Body members, who were born after 1935.
Moving away quietly from an embarrassing teaching is the preferred way sometimes.

A local Witness, who asked not to be named as he is not an official spokesperson for the religious group, told The Sunday Gleaner that some local properties have already been sold while others are on offer to the highest bidder.
- And -
When our news team contacted the headquarters of the Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States, a representative said he was not an official spokesperson for the religious group and could not speak on the record.
It's funny how out of 8 million preachers who are 'boldly declaring the good news,' working on behalf of 'God's spirit directed organization' on earth today, nobody wants to be a spokesperson all of a sudden.

"Maintenance and electricity costs are killers...." said the Witness.
Really?
Maintenance and electricity costs are the most basic costs of owning property. Since when can the "owner of all the gold and silver in the universe [Jehovah]," as Watchtower has previously claimed, and Who is supposed to be their backer, not afford such basic costs?
This suggests that Jehovah has nothing to do with the Watchtower organization and never has.
today's text:.
saturday, april 2. the little one will become a thousand.—isa.
60:22.. perhaps we live in an area where there are few witnesses or where we do not see a lot of immediate results in our preaching work.
According to Wikipedia there are 1,251,695,584 people in India as of July, 2015. What percentage of the population do the 37,000 Jehovah's Witnesses amount to?
0.002956%. That's slightly less than 3/1000ths of 1%. Such a tiny little fraction. It's much closer to 0% than it is to 1%.
That means every Witness needs to be preaching to 33,830 people regularly to adequately cover the territory.
Go Watchtower!
johnny santa cruz and i met around 1959 at a movie theater in fort worth, texas.. the purpose of that meeting was to create a fanclub for horror movie director william castle.
a week or so later, johnny stopped me as i was walking home from elementary school.. "hey--i think i know you.
weren't you at the william castle fanclub thing?".
I don't think you need to be invited to the funeral...
I agree. Since when are invitations handed out to ordinary funerals? Just go; if anyone objects they can deal with it, and others will likely be glad to see you.
So sorry your friend is gone. It seems he wasn't that old.
reading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?
i bet its very minimal.
naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.
insidetheKH (describing this site): "The same kind of topics, the same mantra's , the same kind of views and thoughts etc. etc. Its just an endless repetition."
You just described Jehovah's Witnesses to a tee -- (The gentile times have ended, Armageddon is just around the corner, We must act now, The time left is reduced, Always trust the faithful and discreet slave, etc, etc, said endlessly for almost 140 years) -- yet you joined them? That's very puzzling.
during the wt study yesterday i had a confused look on my face the whole meeting.
more of a, wtf, face.
one paragraph says, "therefore, the number of partakers does not accurately indicate the number of anointed ones left on earth.".
If the number of partakers isn't an accurate count of the anointed, then how many other numbers are wrong too? It all stems from the integrity of Jehovah's Witnesses, so if some are in effect lying about being anointed, how many other lies are JWs telling?
They shoot themselves in the foot when they acknowledge something like this, but then since they printed in the Watchtower that the number of anointed is declining, and that it is "conclusive proof" that we are in the last days, they have put themselves between a rock and a hard place. They can't say the increased number is true, but when they say it's false it makes them look very bad.
It couldn't happen to a more deserving religion.
