  Hello Cedars,

  "There were a few cut outs when everything went silent mid-sentence."

  Unfortunately there were about 5 or 6 of those from the beginning of the broadcast until Simons' segment ended. Some sort a a technical glitch, as Rick Fearon kept saying.

  "Then there's the old guy who keeps interjecting."

  That was Richard Rawe, a long-time fighter of Watchtower injustice . Today I read that he was disfellowshipped in 1975. His harsh sounding voice is an after effect of a stroke.

  Attorney Rick Simons was on for about 45 min. Listening to him was a pleasure.

  As to the upcoming appeals, he said he would much rather be on Candace Coti's side than Wathtower's. Is that the requisite posturing of an attorney? We'll see. We'll probably be following this for years to come.

  Note to Rick Fearon:

  You have an amazing radio voice, easy to listen to, gripping, and you know how to keep a conversation going.

  You could be a major force for good in the fight against Watchtower. From reading this forum, it seems to be your sensationalism and shock-jock approach that has turned people off of your cause.

  If you would consider a slight change in tactic, and stick with real information that people can relate to, you would be a giant to be reconned with in exposing the wrongs of the WTBTS.

  rick simons, candace conti's attorney, will be interviewed on the six screens of the watchtower conference phone line this evening.

  there's a good chance that candace will join in, but that's not set in stone.

  the host of the program, rick, told me to tell everybody that he is learning how to calm down and to do better on these conference calls.

  kendrick (perpetrator) 60% = $16.8 million.

  When Sir82 posted that breakdown, it was early in receiving information about the judgement. Since then there have been posts suggesting the original compensatory damages ($7 million) are to be divided between Kendrick, Watchtower, and the Congregation, but that the entire $21 million of punitive damages would be paid by Watchtower.

  The MSNBC article said this in the 3rd paragraph,

  "The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ legal entity, is responsible for the entire punitive damages amount and 40 percent of the compensatory damages, said Rick Simons, attorney for the plaintiff. Sixty percent of the compensatory damages was assessed against Jonathan Kendrick, the man accused of abusing her."

  Of course news articles can be wrong too, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Watchtower is on the hook for the whole $21 Million in punitive damages.

  Thanks for this information InquiryMan. I can't read the language but words like 'Candace Coti,' and any form of the name Jehovah, which all of these articles contain, are easily decipherable.

  And this headline says alot, Jehovas Vitne må ut med 167 millionar kroner etter overgrepssak. That's a lot of kroner!

  Along with Barbara Anderson's post about this story being published in England, it's very nice to see that this news is now World Wide!
