TSOF: I hope you do okay. If any elder bothers you, tell the authorities or if appropriate, take care of him yourself. Most elders are cowards when you really get in their face and demand your rights.

Hi Messy and welcome:
I think many, if not most ex-JW's feel like they are one step from a psych ward at times. I have a degree in Psych and it affects me too. Many are suicidal.
I have a few friends out West in Psychology work. One nearly has her Doctorate and told me every JW patient she has is severely mentally disturbed. Another almost has her Master's and said the same thing. All they encounter is fright, dysfunctional families and paranoia. It comes with the territory. JW's have about the highest rate of mental illness of any religion or national group (meaning the general population at large). They have one of the highest suicide rates in the world.
Yes, most of us want to write books. There seems to be this need to get our feelings out. In my case, my daughter was raped by a JW and it was not handled right. I quit and my wife left me and took my child. I'll probably never see her again. I had to move over 1,000 miles away.
Another reason to write a book is to warn others. But that's a large task. Contacting local columnists for newspapers can get some nice articles published. You can also visit churches and post your story. Every little bit helps. Whatever helps you heal works.
As far as the elders stalking you, I'd call the police. The ones in my case left me alone, but they had been warned that I'd kill them if they didn't. Since I truly would have, and they knew it, they wisely stayed away. They still do. I guess they think they'll survive Armageddon and that's preferable to being resurrected.

You would have to refresh my memory on where he said what you quoted, but he did say, " Revenge is a dish bested served cold."
His son, Michael, while acting as head of the family when he visitied Las Vegas, warned his own brother, Fredo, "Don't ever take sides against the family again." In the GF2, he had him "hit" for doing just that.
The WT hurts each of our "families" by their policies and whenever they do any family member an injustice. Most people here have had their families hurt or ripped apart by the WT's actions. It's time for justice.

To Randy and all those who encouraged my comments, including those who emailed me: Thank you all for your thoughts. We all have various slants on how we would like this to be handled. We all want it changed. Some just want the WT to change, some want it destroyed, some want the leaders executed. Some still believe in God, some do not.
I ask that people understand my harsh viewpoint because of what it cost my family and myself. There were nearly two suicides over this. Over a quarter of a million dollars was spent/lost due to this. I can't go into more detail, but even worse things happened that I can't mention due to respect for the privacy of certain people.
I hope to formulate a definite plan within the year to mobilize the resources of the media and ex-JW's in an all out attack on the WT. They cannot survive 50 million US citizens learning about their actions and being persuaded to oppose them. The WT just isn't that special. Cult or no cult. We all know what happened to other cults that went too far. The WT is larger and moves more slowly, but they CAN be killed.
Thank you all again. Please just continue to make small gains by dispensing information whenever and wherever you can. I will all add up someday. My best to all.

To Synergy: I just wanted to say once again that your story broke my heart. I served as an Attendant Captain and Head of Security at many NYC conventions and I saw hundreds of small children slammed around, beaten in the men's room, infants slapped full force (IN THE FACE!!) by mothers for crying in their seats (in 110 degree heat IN THE SUN), and other brutality. If I saw that today, I'd take down the father and call the police. But I was as brainwashed as everyone else back then. Maybe you can take solace in the fact that professionals all agree that just about everything that was done to you in your life qualifies as abuse, whether child, sexual, physical, emotional or psychological. If any of your JW "friends" disagree, have them contact a therapist. My GPA was 99%, so if they think they know better, they are welcome to try. They will last five seconds.
I hope you can rebuild a healthier life for yourself. Please remember that many of these scars might remain for the rest of your life, so if they surface at times, please remember that it's not your fault. You write very well and are an intelligent and insightful person. I'm so sorry that such a delicate and gentle soul was abused so badly and for so long. I suffered much abuse in my childhood, but not due to JW's. So I know somewhat the things you felt.
Everyone on this forum is kind and caring. I'm sure you will find much comfort here. I'm writing a book about the WT's part in the psychological scarring of children raised in this religion. Maybe someday I can include your story to show a pattern within this sick and twisted group of lunatics. You can also find comfort in that if your story helps one person feel better or avoid going through what you did, it was worth telling. I wish you the best in life.

To Synergy: I'm so sorry for all the things you suffered. I am almost 60 years old, was a servant for years, and thought I heard it all, but I had to stop more than once and I cried for you. My daughter was also treated roughly by people "helping" us to discipline her at the hall. Having a degree in psychology, I now realize that this was child abuse, as was most of your life. I also don't mean to insult your father, but he has severe mental problems, beyond even the average elders I've met. By the way, my daughter was raped when nine years old and molested until she was thirteen. I understand somewhat the agony you lived for so many years. I'm so sorry.
To the WT and the lurkers: I'm not going to tolerate many more of these stories. I have time and money. I will have a ton of money within 15 years. Yes, it will be enough to conteract your lawyers.We are working to get on national TV shows that millions watch each day. You can worry about which ones. I'm sure most know. I am active on Silent Lambs. I will help keep them going as well.
I am in the process of organizing anti-WT campaigns in 2 states. I was born and lived near NYC for over 50 years. I'm also Sicilian. You figure it out. If I hear of any more abuse to children or if one more ex-JW (particularly a child or young person) commits suicide, the "blood issue" will take on a new meaning as far as you are concerned. Don't bother calling your lawyers and accusing me of threatening your lives. I'm not. I know you will be killed by God. I don't need to do it. I don't wish for innocent rank and file JW's to be hurt because all of them are just too mentally and emotionally disturbed to know you are demonic and mentally ill, but if a Kingdom Hall burns down or is sold and demolished, I'll hold a party. If I see ANY JW parent abuse a child in public, I will exercise whatever rights the state of Florida gives me to make a citizen's arrest. I suggest you become familiar with MY rights as to self-defense. I utilize all of them.
Your sick articles in the 1950's bemoaning your inability to "kill" the apostates on the planet prove you are a bunch of lunatics on the level with the Islamic ones in the Mid-East. If people don't agree with you, you want them dead. The sick part is that the rules to "not qualify for death" in your asylum change from day to day. So one day you might kill someone for a "crime" that the next year is allowed. Will you then resurrect the innocent victim? You also behave like Adolph Hitler, killing all those who weren't up to his standards. That's why you are accused of Gestapo tactics and Nazi behavior.
I know you monitor the forums and know many individuals who oppose you. You certainly see the media closing in on you. I'm getting tired of your hypocrisy, lies, cruelty, and child abuse. If my daughter dies from the effects of her abuse or takes her life due to what was done to her, "an eye for an eye" will be inflicted on several of you. You will NOT silence any of us. Especially ME. TRY IT!! I will fight you every day of my life until your buildings are sold or destroyed. I cheer when any country outlaws your religion. You consider it persecution, I consider it as a wise government trying to keep morons out of their country. You will NOT win this war. And if by some sick chance Jehovah God IS on your side and approves of all of your actions thus far, you can have him. I wouldn't live in a paradise with ANY of you psycho cases. You can hurt more victims. But you cannot hurt me any longer. My family shuns me, so I have nothing to lose. When your demise comes, you will not know what hit you. You and your insane God can all go to hell. The real God will see to that. The arrogance of men with high school educations challenging those with Master's and Doctorate degrees astounds me. But I should expect nothing less. You claim to speak for God, you act like God, you think you ARE God. But you worship the Devil with your behavior and statements. You are a sub-human group of moronic and demented men who all need years of therapy.
If you DF me, I'll contact every radio and TV station in the state. I'll contact every religious editor and every church leader I can reach. Within 5 years, the writings of ex-JW's and other victims will be distributed on a larger scale than the WT magazine. We outnumber you 1,000 to one. We collectively have more time and money. The people here have God and you serve Satan. How do you expect to win? You actively break all the rules in the Bible and then threaten the world with death. Somehow that's not a crime. But if I threatened to kill Bro. "so and so", I'd be arrested. Amazing. Okay, you say the world will die. You gloat about it. I say YOU will die and I'm gloating like hell. Don't like it? Sue me. To Rebel8: I think your points are very true. I also am in the field of psychology and less than one in 100,000 molesters ever change for life. I have a standing offer of $1,000 to any JW who was a child molester and changed forever after becoming a JW. NO ONE has collected yet and I doubt they will in my lifetime (I'm over 50). The JW's love to act as if there brand of "Christianity" and "counseling" can cure ANYTHING. They can't even cure themselves, so how can they fix others?
A very large percentage of child molesters among JW's are turning out to be elders. This brings up a very troubling issue. If elders are appointed by "holy spirit", I'm afraid I'd have to question the sanity of that "holy spirit" along with the WT's "god", Jehovah. I don't believe in any god, but if there is one, he has much explaining to do to me to convince me he's sane. I mean no disrespect to those who believe, but the Adam story and original sin, along with taking Satan's bet in the garden doesn't wash with me. These children are suffering. If I had 50 million molesters lined up, I'd shoot them all until my gun melted. I'd pay for the bullets. I know this doesn't sound rational, so that's why I won't treat a child molester. They are devious, lying, eternal perverts. I haven't met five in my career that truly wanted to change. And again, the poor children all suffer centuries of rape and torture while "God" thinks about it and when he might feel inclined to stop it. My challenge: YOU stop it NOW, or I WILL. The hard way.
The fact that this "brother" (read "disgusting piece of sewage") uses the word "mutual" only adds to his crime. What the goddamn hell can be mutual about masturbating with your daughter?? I realize that it's the technical term from a sexual point of view, but I suspect his feelings were more than proper dictionary definition. Here in Florida, abusers are published online and in newspapers mailed out to county residents. We can go online and see the abuser, his picture, physical description, address, background, the works. It's done as a warning. But although it's not done for revenge, if I were on a jury trying a father for killing one of these animals, you'd never get me to vote to convict the father. But this is another entire topic, the idea of society failing to give justice, so when is it my right to do it myself? And before anyone gets on his high horse and defends the judicial process, may I remind you that the Revolutionary War is considered "illegal" by many philosophers, as is the taking of Texas, the Phillipines, Cuba, and Florida. Many of these actions were not done "legally" in any world court. And the Panama Canal deal by T. Roosevelt? I rest my case.
People on Silent Lambs and Freeminds have asked what they can do. If you read the online newletters from these sites, the newspaper and/or columnist is often mentioned. Whenever I have contacted them, they have been happy to hear from an ex-JW so they can get the real "truth". Many times they have called Bethel and been given the typical JR Brown(oser) package of lies. If anyone wants names, email me directly to the link in the upper left corner. I'll return your email within a few days. I've also been in contact with the woman lawyer in Texas (Norris) and she might have ideas on how to hit the WT more in a way that will hurt them. Everyone's afraid of their money. But please remember they aren't trillionaires. They are dismissing Bethel workers and selling property. They clearly are hurting. Those of us who are out, combined with the media, have thousands of times more money and resources than the WT. They CAN be destroyed, at least financially and socially. They may survive underground, but ironically, that's where many of them are going to end up very soon.
Pardon my clear hatred of them, it has cost my family several hundred thousand dollars because my daughter was raped over ten years ago. I'm sure that loss would piss anyone off enough to want an end to these "people" and I don't care how. According to the Mosaic Law, they deserve to die. The WT often preaches gleefully that all of us will soon be gone. So I see no reason why I don't have the right to wish death on them. And if anyone ever hurt them, I'd look the other way. They are not the Good Samaritan, they are the Pharisees who walked past the victim. Silent Lambs and Freeminds are doing what is right.
To Randy: I respect you and your work very much. It can't be easy to balance this web site, finances, your personal life, and legal concerns in a way that produces such a quality web site. I'm a computer engineer and know how hard it is. You have my respect, as does every person on this board who has suffered due to the WT's insanity. Maybe some of us won't live long enough to see the end of the WT, but hopefully our children will. If you read the book "1984" and think about how Hitler ruled Germany, you can see a very close resemblance. Would anyone defend Hitler? Then we all know what to do about the WT. My best to all.

I would still report it. It's one more mark against the WT. I'm sure he "confessed" because he knew it was so long ago that the elders wouldn't do anything. There is also that principle about keeping elders and MS's in office if a long time has passed. And considering the recent post about a severe shortage of servants, I doubt the WT wants to remove any of them if they can avoid it. All that does is prove that the WT will prostitute itself when convenient. Yet they accuse the Catholic Church of hypocrisy. I'm getting to the point where nothing the WT says or does surprises me anymore. They are beyond help.

I walked out in the middle of the Watchtower Study yesterday............
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini'm down to 1 meeting per week and that is even becoming difficult to attend.i read blondie's excellent reviews of the weekly watchtower study and that keeps my sanity when reading the weekly study.
yesterday,i walked out in the middle of the study and went home because of some comments that were made after the reading of paragraph 5.here is blondie's study article and one comment that was made at the meeting.. .
clearly, jesus was concerned that his followers too could become distracted by satan's world, even to the point that they might "return to the things behind.

This is truly sickening, to blame the victim. Similar to child abuse. The WT is good at this perverted psychology. Who said anyone didn't want the end of this wickedness? What sane person likes disease, death, and suffering? We just don't set dates for the end of these things like the WT does. That makes us wrong? Looking at their record, I'd say THEY were wrong.
"Ignored the signs?" What signs?? If the signs were truly "signs", then the end would have come in 1975, right? And to infer that they went back to the worldly things they loved is unfair and slander. They went back to making a living, repairing broken educations, finding jobs with pensions, and other things. They also left the WT because the WT dared them to test them out to see if they were the truth, and when they did and found them to be liars, the WT got all pouty and called names like it always does. What a bunch of cry babies! Whenever things don't go their way in court, they sit on the steps and howl about their rights. When they are caught in a lie, they deny it or call it "new light".
Sydlyk is an asshole. You will never get a fair comment from him. In fact, most of the GB are pompous twits. I liked the funeral comments. If the WT doesn't know what the truth is, how can they ask the rank and file to go door to door explaining what it is?
