What does commercials have to do with freedom and for that matter this country....nothing....in a free world they are part of everyday life....

sf says:My daughter says t.v. commercials are the biggest 'scam'. She's very smart for her age. She says they are one off the biggest wastes of money in this world. That all that money they pay people for, to make ridiculous ad's, is such a waste.

There are commercials on TV in every country that has a system to support it....I am pretty certain there is a return on this invest,emt made by mostly the largest corps in America. Do you really think they would just throw that money away? They are selling their products.

Without the commercial side of the US, it would not exist?????? I bitch about the pop-ups that come up all the time on the web. But you know what, that is why the web is free. Commercials and sales, is what the free world is all about. Your young daughter is probably very smart, but her youth shows in this regard.

I'll bet you that the US gives away more money and aid than any country ever in existance. The entire world recieves aid dailt from the US, just for being amiable and having that need. Also if you have ever been out of a job for any length of time or had any real financial problems there is a program to save your ass any way you happen to screw up your life.

Yeah, nothing is free....you better stop listening to your young daughter and pay attrention to the things going on around you!!!!

Missing my granddaughter

how do i get over a broken heart?

my daughter, 25 a witness will not let me see my granddaughter anymore and she misses me and i miss her...i have been very ill and this is the worse thing on top of everything...how do you go on living and try to pretend this beautiful little girl dosen't exist?i need some help...thank you.... .

I wish that there was something I could do for you. I don't know the feeling of being isolated from my grandchildren, I can only imagine?

I don't know what they think you would do to this child? I am certain that you are interested in it's best interest also. Maybe a letter that appeals to them and assures them that you would not discuss your feelings about the ORG.

If they are trying to just hurt you, I feel that they will get their payback?

This is a terrible sad world that we live in?

help--my daughter is pregnant by a disfellowshipped jw.

he has recently been re-attending meetings and has decided to get reinstated.

he told my daughter that the relationship is off because it would be too difficult to have a relationship between a jw and her(holidays, family etc.

In the US receiving the financial aid does give the Father rights to see and make decisions about the child. Sp taking the money is a two edged sword.

Over the past several years I have been in court with my kids and the courts are not what you consider fair when it comes to kids and custody.

The courts are run by lawyers and the judges are just lawyers that got lucky and have been appointed to be godlike over you. Many times a good desion comes of the system but once it takes over your life, look out you are in for some grief?

I am not saying that the system is completely corrupt but it can be brutal!!!

i remember the good old days back in the 80's, when i was but a tiny tot, and folks used to stand outside the convention with megaphones and shout and try to hand out apostate literature.. now that i'm older, it sounds like fun.

anybody do that kind of thing these days?.
