HELP!!! Its that time of year again..........Flying Phobias
by ScoobySnax injust booked my holiday up on the net, off to the beautiful greek island of kefalonia july 3rd.
but i still can't get my head round flying, i sweat, panic, near on hyperventilate throughout the whole flight.
to me its just not normal that a 300 ton lump of metal can get off the ground like that.

To me its just not normal that a 300 ton lump of metal can get off the ground like that. I HATE FLYING. it scares the shit out of me. I'd never let it stop me going to my beloved Greece, but it never gets easier.
Please remind me again of why I'm so safe up there hurtling forwards at 500mph in a metal tube, full of combustible fuel and weighing 300ton etc etc and that all is well...........

Where else will you find such true friends?
by sass_my_frass init always bugged me when i would hear or read that the only true friends you would find would be those you made in the organisation - nobody else will really stand by you when you need them.
it used to puzzle me when (prior to being disfellowshipped...) my true friends and my close loving family didn't make contact with me for years, right when i was very deeply depressed and i needed them.
certainly i could have put myself in their lives more pro-actively, but, it's a very effective control tool to tell people not to bother befriending a non-witness; even if they don't damage you spiritually, they will never be as loyal to you as your brothers and sisters.

Hmmm KLS....... I just don't feel as angry as you do about my past, believe it or not, I can still draw a good many things out of my JW experience. But thats just me.
Satunus......Life is always full of Ifs and Buts and ands........it still doesn't become any clearer, or provide a crystal answer!!
