Anyone here have any experience with the "super-natural"?

i have heard of a couple of stories of possession, or of jw's talking to spiritists and the spiritists having seen 2 men following the jw, either dressed all in black, or all in white, and very strong looking.

yet, i have never experienced any of it.. another experience that i heard is about a brother whose mom had super-natural strength, and tossed something really heavy.

Just because something cannot be measured, studied, dissected and observed in a controlled laboratory and then written by someone with a PhD in a peer-reviewed journal, doesn't mean it can't happen.

That was my point exactly that the demons do not cower and run at the name "Jehovah". That is what JW's think but they have it wrong. The only scriptural text where the demons spoke to Jesus and seemed in fear (more like worry) of him is this one;

Matthew 8:29
“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to tortureus before the appointed time?”

But to say they run in fear from the Name Jehovah, or any other is wrong. Also a poster said a Satanist used jehovah's name? Well that is very common. Many in the "dark arts" so to speak, mix elements of the bible with devil worship.

It seems I have heard the same thing. They could exhibit fear of the certainty of The Almightys Power and you are correct by providing scriptural reference. It must be "written" in order to be factual. Matters of scriptural interpretation are up for debate.....

This is "True"......

I have had the Almighty exert His strength over me causing pain throughout my body, showing how easy it is to bring me pain and even death. He let me know that if I was disobediant to Him He had authority over me to bring me to my death. I of course acknowledged His authority over me, and my willingness to serve Him, letting Him know I will never disobey Him out of Love for The Almighty GOD.......

Do you cower? How about when you place a cross in front of a suspected "possessed" person? Or even holy water, how scary is that for a demon? lol. Is it scary to you?

Why the demons scoff and even laugh at the ridiculous antics......

It is not until the righteous spirits including of course, Christ himself, exert power over these wicked spirits that fear becomes overwhelming to them. Use your thinking ability for it is similar to a strong man exerting strength over someone weaker that it might bring fear to a man.....

Did you by chance read the account

I just briefed it yes.......it is a known fact that magnetics or other anomolys(sp) could cause the body to experience unusual phenomena. Hence, the effect of drugs, so on so forth. However it is written in Acts 2:17 that in the last days people would see visions, prophecy, etc. etc. so some experiences are biblical. Have you read up on the 11:11 phenomena? Many around the world have experienced this including myself. So there are occurances directly from GOD......

Anyone care shed light on the subject?

Where would you like me to begin? First thing that ever happened to me was when my futon begin to shake while I sat upon it. I even got off of it and held my hand on top of it while it shook. I knew it was a spirit, for how could you believe in GOD and not believe in demons or otherwise. I took it as a wake-up call from GOD or just a demon trying to bring me fear. It did shake me up a bit so that I chose to close the door to the room it occured in. I have numorous accounts, that was just the beginning.......
