Does this tell us how desperate they are to paint those who leave as evil??
by therevealer inin the watchtower ?
july 15, 2011 15 this is how they portray ones who simply leave after seeing the light.
but notice how before the article ends they move on to satan and his wicked world.

See John 1:1 with your own eyes: Bible translators have translated Latin, not Greek.
by Wonderment in<!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } p { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> .
in principio erat verbum et verbum erat apud deum et deus erat verbum -- latin.
in beginning was verb and verb was with god and god was verb.. .

technically they all have definite and indefinite built in i speak spanish i read latin i speak serbocroation i study languages as a hobby its called noun declension. it all depends on the way the noun is declined . this is still common in slavic tongues. latin's offsprings french, italian, catalan, spanish, portugues etc lost most noun delension except to show singular or plural.

How do you explain anointed people who are very humble and loving?
by bottleofwater inwhile some of you can bash the anointed as being attention getters:.
i knew someone in florida who was also of the anointed, supposedly.
she was very kind as well and very quiet and humble.

The J Dub Culture of Skirt-Wearing
by mummatron inthis is something that has always bothered me.
as a born-in jw i was raised as a little girl wearing skirts and dresses which is clearly quite normal in terms of gender-appropriate clothing.
however, the older i grew, the more i realised that all jw women and girls wore skirts to meetings and when out in fs, but would wear trousers in their everyday life.

Unrest in the Governing Body
by JWFreak inone of the many questions that i am asked is what are the current gb members like, who are the hardliners and who are more moderate.. because of my previous job, at a european bethel, i had dealings with most of them with the exception of sam herd.. these are my observations of my conversations with them and how others who had dealings with them.. other ex bethelites may have contrary views to mine, but i would be surprised.. i had spent a lot of time with splane, lett and morris.
hardliners.
david splane, without doubt the one who commands the most respect and attention.

The "patibulum" : a fragile theory !
by TheFrench inthe latin fathers of the church has never described jesus carrying a "patibulum".
indeed, the early christians to represent jesus carrying the "crux", not the "patibulum".
it's a fact.

oh one other point : a stake is an ancient phallic symbol! So I guess the stake theory is another watchtower PHALLACY( hehehehe get it!)
It was a CROSS shaped torture device it's been argued to death. The dubs have to convince theirselves not me.I wanted to say a big giant flaming neon cross out of sarcasm but I didnt want to be too rude.

Belief is Irrelevant to Watchtower Leadership
by daniel-p inthe more i see what watchtower leadership does, the more i think doctrine matters less and less.
it used to be you had all these people in leadership positions constantly pondering the big questions.
watchtower articles routinely delved into complicated explanations of doctrine.
