  hi, dfs.. first of all, let me say it is not necessary to label yourself on this board, or anywhere on the internet for that matter.. so many of us have family members that are df'd, it really doesn't hold much water round here.

  i did have some questions for you though, which of course you don't have to answer.. 1. why were you disfellowshipped?

  depends on what you mean by "good"?.

  what you are likely to find is a wide spectrum of different personalities, with the common thread of having some interest in the wbts.

  what you will not find is the kind of structured, controlled environment of the kingdom hall, where many of the subjects that could be discussed here would never be raised.

  How do YOU judge good association?

  My good friends tell me the truth, not what I want to hear....It would be too easy to label them as jealous, hypocrites, whatever.

  But believe me, just like in your cong. there are good people and not so good people. You are the only one capable of drawing that line...

  Falling asleep at meetings

  once i fell asleep at the meeting.

  the melodic drone of the worker bee on the platform filled my head with z's.

  i fought it's clever machinations, with figurative tooth and nail i clawed at it's relentless apathy.

  My personal fave, taking notes and then falling asleep.

  You know who you are! The beautiful notes somehow get a little less legible until finally you're writing lines, and then CRASH BOOM BANG NOTHING!

  There= a location. "The contribution box is over there." or
  a quantity. "Last year there were 6,893,298 active JWs."

  Their= is possessive. "Is that their bookbag?"

  They're= a verb, a contraction for 'they are.' "They're still pioneering after all those years?"

  Consider this a short crash course on the above words. With some prompting, I may post on such topics as:

  "Your vs. You're"
  "to vs. too"
  "it's vs. its"

  Since Path acknowledged my superior education, I thought it would be selfish of me not to share with the rest of you. As you can see, there is a veritable cornucopia of information for a Master's Level Dissertation of the subject of Correct Syntax of Frequently Misused Words. At some further point, I may post my CV*.

  *For Path, "Curriculum Vitae." Used by the more learned in place of the cliched 'resume.'

  Exactly what 180 are you referring to? I wouldn't consider my journey to be anything like YouKnows, nor is my posting style.

  More importantly, why do you seem so interested of late in testing me and engaging me in some verbal battle?

  I don't dislike you know, don't even know him. But, the few times I read his posts on H2O he didn't seem to want to get into any issues, and preferred name calling. That ain't me, Focu....er...Path

  Or do you have a real name? One that you don't hide behind in Cyberworld? B)

Hate to remind you, but anyone who grew up in a household with an elder father KNOWS what I'm talkin' bout.

  Secondly, I don't need to write any note to anyone. I VOTED. I wore the little sticker. I had signs on my front lawn "Vote Yes on Arts to Zoo Initiative". I write using my real name. I live in Fresno, CA. What else do you want?

  And...I won't accept blood while in this country. But If I happen to travel to Bulgaria and get into a car wreck, well that's a different story.

  this is sort of a take-off of the "what should the wt do" thread.. i need to get together a board of directors and elect a president and officers.

  we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.

  we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.
