  I think the "spirit with which I am asking" and the spirit with which he is telling should both be looked at. I am trying to remain rational and ask what I consider to be reasonable questions. He has been angry and insulting. I am not trying to "stump" anyone, I think, however, he wants to "stump" us, so now where does that leave us?

  Regarding "humility", I think in this kind of situation, that humility should be a two way street. If I espoused certain beliefs, should mds humbly except them? I think not, and I don't think he ever would. Would you?

  RR and TR,

  According to a man that testified at the Olin Moyle trial, Rutherford had colon cancer at least 5 years before his death, and that was the cause. (This man worked in Rutherford's private office) One thing to check, if possible. Was there a convention in San Diego at the time, where he was scheduled to speak? One thing that causes me to doubt the rat theory is the fact that he lived in a well kept mansion. They might have one rat in the basement, but I doubt the rat pack idea.

  According to the book "Visions of Glory", Rutherford was buried three months after his death in Woodrow Cemetary on Statan Island, New York, next to the WT property, where they had WBBR and a farmhouse where Rutherford went on the weekends to get away from business to write.

  Ya know,

  I see that same thing at restaurants. They put this infant in a high chair, the infant gets restless, and rather than take them out and give them a little comfort they push them back down in the seat and scold them. makes me sick.

  Little toddlers want to move around a bit and the parents push them back. Hey, let the kid walk over to the next table, everyone loves that little tyke. No problem. The kid gets to explore and meet new people just like they should do as an adult.

  Well, that's how I see it.

  I had the great fortune to hear Peter Gregerson talk about how he got his family out. (he is the disfellowshipped man who had lunch with Ray Frantz, which gave the WT the excuse to disfellowship Ray.)

  After much research, he just didn't believe it any more. Rather than confront his family, he would say things occasionally, like "you know, I'm perplexed, there's something I don't understand." or "I don't know, but I don't get why this is so, can you explain?. No attacks, just seeds of doubt. He brought his entire family out with much patience. I don't if that you will work for you, but maybe you could help some good friends. I just kow the direct approach does not work.

  Another fulfillemnt of the Jesus-Luther linkage would be Jacob Albright who founded the Evangelical Church in eastern Pennslyvannia, circa 1800. He preached to the fallen away German Lutherans, so he taught part Luther and part something different - another fulfillment! All his sermons and all his literature was in German, so it was exclusive, kind of a modern day Israel. About 70 years later (notice the number 70) they merged with the United Bretheren, another part Luther part "new light", which represents a fourth fulfillment of prophecy!

  we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.

  we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.
