Where is Tony?

a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

The only way to stop the war in the Middle East is for Russia and China to provide Iran with nuclear weapons.
Hopefully neither Putin nor Xi are stupid enough to do that. Surely they know the Iranian government could go rogue at any moment. I feel confident that if Israel saw a nuclear weapon headed at them, they would retaliate with all they have.

Education video this midweeks meeting
by jehovaxx inthere is an item this week all about yang ones leaving school.. the two brothers go to a career advisor seminar.
one brother thinks it’s good to work hard full time while you are young and tries to encourage his friend to as well.. his friend (who is the good jw trust the gb no matter what they say)) he wants a part time job.. the video shows him dreaming about investing his money on his phone and the chart goes up, he drives a nice car and seems to be doing well financially.. then he reads the scripture in proverbs and next you see that investment chart go down in the red and he is so pleased he just got a low paid part time job.. this infuriates me.
how many of us are now struggling because we were told to get menial part time jobs and we were told the end would have been here by now.. i will never tell a young person to listen to the gb advice on this.

1/2 of the Jehovah’s witnesses have gone
by hoser inthere are 1/2 of the jehovah’s witnesses that there were 30 years ago in my area.
some have left but i think that many have died and none of their kids stayed being jehovah’s witnesses.
7 congregations have been dissolved over the years.

From my experience as having been an Elder is that there basically two kinds of Elders. [Eventually] a split develops (due to the person's base personality) where you begin to love the attention of the congregation and the fact your voice has authority, or you become an Elder just happy to work for the Brothers. The first group very quickly learn how to pass of the more mundane assignments to the second group. The glory seekers are normally happy to do public talks or the Watchtower study but are often absent on work based committees and midweek field service groups. As a result the glory hunters never step down from the body of Elders. Why? Because life is good for them.
I recall a "very prominent" elder in my Cong asking for the other elders to give him some relief from his mundane duties because he had been assigned TWO talks at the Dist Conv. and was overwhelmed.
I asked why he accepted TWO assignments if he wasn't going to be able to handle the additional responsibility and suggested maybe he should have been humble enough to realize his limitations and that one of those talks could likely have been handled by another elder who got NO speaking parts on the convention. Or did he think that NO ONE ELSE could do it as well as he could?
He said he certainly was not so arrogant as to think that, but evidently the CO making the assignments did.

I applaud anyone who took the 2.5 hours to view the two videos. I have spent some time reading about Menlo Park in the past and it sounded like WT really circumvented some laws/policies. But no one cares. At least no one with the financial ability to pursue the issue. It takes money to go to court. WT has A LOT more money to delay and defend than anyone who might care.
I just can't invest that much of my time into much of anything pertaining to WT anymore.

Predictions for the next decade?

then some huge huge changes.
for example by 2034 in a decades time, they will have address the 1914 issue and will come out and say we can’t be dogmatic.

Not much will change. The "busy work" will continue as they continue to declare that The End will come very, Very, VERY soon. There will always be a disaster, disease, insurrection, war/conflict to use to ramp up the message.
I think the CSA lawsuits will taper off, as WT really has implemented new policy to stop the abuse. NOT because of any ethical reasons, but primarily to stop the financial bleeding. WT Legal directs that law enforcement be notified (IF the State mandates such, and perhaps even if not).
I think they will concentrate very heavily on younger members to make them feel important and appreciated (especially young boys/men, less for girls/women who are clearly not as essential) to keep them from leaving.
The donation system -- the mandated per diem contribution for each publisher -- will go up, and up for the congregations, assemblies, etc. Congs that fail to maintain their required donations will be considered for dissolution (after a remodel is completed with free labor).
Conventions will be smaller to make use of Assembly Halls (already happening) so as to avoid paying rent to outside facilities. Locally, they have only one "large" Regional Convention (vs 2 or 3 in the past) and a smaller public venue, while the majority are assigned to the Assembly Hall. So that it does not just seem like the Circuit Assembly, Congs are not assigned by Circuits. Rather, 1 or 2 Congs from each circuit that uses the Assembly Hall are assigned to a convention so there is a feel that it includes a wider spectrum of delegates instead of the same old group at every Circuit Assembly. (This also allows teens to meet marriage mates from other circuits.)
Most changes will be implemented for one of two reasons: Cutting costs or increasing donations.

.. i finally got a hold of the "od book" (organized to do jehovah's will), the book that replaced the other "organized" book for field service and congregational arrangements.
i was reading through this and noticed an irony starting on page 155. this section deals with "disassociation"... (i'm sure others have already seen or discussed this, but i've been running behind lately).. "a person might renounce his place in the christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of a secular organization that has objectives contrary to the bible and, hence, is under judgment by jehovah god.
