I'm in a bad mood because lately I haven't been sleeping well - the medication for my stomach problems makes me have erotic dreams at night.
I'd just like to know the name of the medication!!!!!!!!!
i don't mean sex, but rather affection.
i need to be pampered and tended to.
just want somebody to put their hands on my face and call me baby tonight.

i'm thinking he traveled east and learned the wisdom of the orient.
no way the watchtower line about him being a carpenter's assistant all that time is possibly true.
he was way too learned about the ways of people to not have been educated and his ideas seem very eastern to me.. anyone got any good books, articles, blogs, websites on the topic?.
Well, we know he wasn't pioneering where the need was greater...................cause he wasn't baptized yet!
i've seen several posts relating to the mood among longtime jws here recently.
i thought i would add to that collection and recount a discussion i recently had with my dad and a small group of folks about his age.
quick background on the group:.
SaltyOldLady said: ....yes indeed the atmosphere and feeling in the congregations has been changing and yes - they are getting more and more apathetic - more discouraged - more Zombie like - losing the eagerness for the field servic....
I think I also see the apathy and lack of eagerness, or I wonder if it is just MY apathy. Take yesterday's WT for example, there was nothing moving about it. Just the same old yada yada yada, ask the question, read the yada yada answer, struggle to stay awake. WHEN will they shorten this meeting like all the others???????? Usta be when the CO came, it was easy to shorten the CBS to 45 minutes while still reading all the paragraphs and covering the same material, or shorten to WT to 30 minutes by not reading the paragraphs. Let's face it, it is imperative to read the paragraphs before the question is asked as that is when 90% underline their answers, but to condense into 45 minutes should be easy.
...so here it goes.... my story is of no consequence.
i've been reading a long time here and just wanted to say that you guys are all nuts.
and i mean that in the highest form of complement.
Falcon said: A lot of people in our position sit in a Kingdom Hall thinking "maybe I'M the crazy one for feeling this way", as if there is no one you can confide in and you feel all alone. Then you discover people who faced/are facing the same doubts and frustrations.
In the few months that I've been "sitting" around here thinking, not only have I discovered I'm not along in my thinking, but I wonder now how many people I personally know are lurking or even members here too.
if you're still in for the sake of others, how's it going?
what specific plan are you working on to get your loved ones out so you can leave, too?
how is that plan progressing?
I had a friend tell me that I should be more bold - more authentic - about my stance. So I'd like feed back about that.
Is fading inauthentic?
I think it's all about what is right FOR YOU. It appears that many here didn't have the choice to fade. If you have the choice, and you are not trying to make a point to someone by DA yourself, then why crap in your own nest? Seems by fading, some have succeeded in accomplishing their need to escape out of the Org, while at the same time they have been able to maintain some normal relationship with those persons important to them who are still "in".
If it works for YOU, why care what anyone else thinks.
"Inauthentic"? That sounds like someone trying to manipulate you into making choices that you don't want to make.
seems that the gb take every story they can in the bible and claim that although it happened then, it will also happen now.
although this time it will be the gb who is jehosophat, david, paul, jermiah... etc etc take your pick.
what scriptual basis do they have for this belief??
Lets have a fulfillment during every generation - to infinitum.
Actually..........you don't need fulfillments during every generation for it to extend into infinitum......Just ONE generation that continues to overlap.
paul wrote to the thessalonians about people who congregations shouldn't feed (not even leftovers) - let the nasty bums, and their uppity nasty wives starve..... for even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "if anyone will not work, neither let him eat.
" 3:11for we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies.
3:12now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the lord jesus christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread..
With the phaseout of the CO's (as reported here) coming along, most will get a rude awakening of what REAL LIFE is all about. ---Dan
So who the heck started THAT rumor???????????? TWO YEARS and our CO is coming next month. No phaseout in site.
I knew of several "sisters" in our congregation that would take the wives out to do some major shopping!!
And not at wal-mart, either!
Helping hubby to get appointed OR get assembly/convention part.
i don't know where i've heard it before(perhaps from a circuit overseer talk) but someone associated with jehovahs witnesses made the analogy.
that if you put a frog in a pot of boiling water it will jump out immediately, but if you put the same frog in a pot of cold water and slowly heat it up.
the frog will not notice the gradual temperature change and will cook to death.. the overseer or elder used this illustration as a warning to say that gradual changes in morals around us- we will not notice and get cooked alive.
Also heard it, not sure when & where.
just got off the phone with an old friend from montana.
her teenage son, mother, and a niece and nephew were all killed in a car accident one year ago tomorrow.
she decided to use the money she got from life insurance and settlement to build a house for the family.
" My advice: Take his ass to court and take everything he owns--including whatever fillings he has in his teeth.".......She said once this is all done she is going to the elders in his congregation to report his unchristian behavior. She has been inactive for years. I told her not to be disappointed if the elders didn't do anything.
If she has been inactive for years, I doubt they would do anything, especially if he is highly regarded. Why should they? She wants the elders to serve her needs when she hasn't been serving Jah all this time. (Just saying, that will be their reasoning.) Even if they did, they would not expect him to give up any of his worldly goods.......and if he doesn't have the money,...........well.........you can't get blood out of a.........d!$khead. If she sues, and he is truly lacking in assets, he could easily file bankrupcy, which many states allow exclusion of your residence, and then legally his debt with her is settled.
Sorry, but you NEVER pay money in advance of the job being satisfactory completed. No matter who it is. Unless you can afford to kiss the cash goodbye!
