  Termites Survey

  without looking up the internet search engine or any books, do you know what termites look like?

  do you know the signs of termites?

  Here in the south termites are bad. You have the subterrainian termites and the Dry wood termites. The Subterrainian come up from the ground with tubes going up block or brick walls into the wood of the floor or walls. These guys are white in color. Also need to go back into the ground for miosture. In the spring they have scouts that swarm out with big wings. Subterrainian termites can eat a house up real fast. The good news is just about any posion will kill them. The dry wood termites are slow eaters. I don't know what they look like. The can be lured in by light. All I know is you can have them for years with little damage but if you do find out you have them the only way to get rid of them is to have your house tented. Were they use a gas to kill them. Thats about all I know about termites. My suggestion is get professional help. Totally ADD

  it was stated at sunday meeting that, according to the governing body, a jehovah's witness' survival of the gt hinges upon his participating in family worship night.

  Sub. CO hoping to be a full time CO told me the reason for ending the Book Study was to many of them were going off the assigned material. To much independent thinking going on. I believe that reason more than any other reason given. The gas, hardship or whatever was all a smoke screen. The same goes for the family worship night. Misery you are right when they said for years the book study arrangement was the only way we would survive the GT. Because the KH would all be closed down. Hopefully maybe many of these family worship nights instead of using WT pub for study they will turn on their computer and google JW and learn the real truth. Totally ADD

  It does not matter what scientist say about this subject. Whatever direction they go with their thinking the fundamentalist reglions will deny what they say. Because you cannot trust what science has to say. Sound familar. Science bad. Bible good as long as you think the same way I do.   did you actually believe man had only been around for 6000 years when you were a jw ?

  when i was a study i had a real problem with that one and dinasours and the fact that skeletons of early man were found indicating man had in actual fact been around for millions of years !

  we copuld not argue with that evidence , so how did we manage to convince ourselves that the rest of jws beliefs were true ?.

  Hello looloo. I have to say yes. But I was a child at the time. Because I believe the WT would never tell a lie. When I became a adult I never really thought about it. Until about 4 years ago when my eyes began to open. My first question I had was the flood then mankind being around for only 6 thousand years. Now I know better. Good question though. Totally ADD

  The Three Phases Of "The Truth"

  i had a discussion one day with my son about "the truth" i stated the truth is fluid it is always in motion never as black and white as we would like to think because as humans we are always growing and learning new things (hopefully).. ridiculed-violently opposed-becomes self-evident are the 3 phases that are seen when any new discovery in science or breakthrough technology first appears.

  the following is what i surmize are the 3 main phases jw's go through when faced with the real truth.

  Kensho just want you to know some of us former elders did get past phase 3. But I must admit phase 3 takes a little longer to go through than the first 2 phases. For me it was all I knew and to come finally face to face with your own core beliefs it takes time to think these matters over and phase out your old core beliefs for new beliefs. Sometimes you even have to readjust your new beliefs until you settle in your new core beliefs. I don't know if that makes sense but that how I see it. Good thread. Totally ADD

  Even I have been wondering what has been going on. I have E-mailed you twice and I think both have gone to E-mail hell. I don't think my computer likes your computer. Mine is getting old and cranky like me. Actually my Dear Mouthy I have been very, very busy getting ready to move to the far north. I love what you have to say about what Jesus taught us.   The biggest change I have seen is they don't us the term very often that Jesus is head of the congregation. Instead we must listen to the FS. Those two things scare the hell out of me. Another letting young children get baptised when at one time they said infant and child baptiism was bad. Also how all the JW voice we are right because GB says so. We are right "WAR" We are right "WAR" We are right "WAR". Instead of thinking for themselves they all have become drones to the GB. Totally ADD

  April "Pioneers" - a large army

  anecdotally , from my ( rapidly diminishing number of ) jw contacts , it does seem that the april 30 hour pioneer campaign is going well.

  some congregations have over 1/2 the publishers on the pioneer list for april , including all the elders & ms. .

  The Aux pios hours are average in with the rest of the hours they put in during the year. Only the Reg. Pios and Special Pios are reported seperate. The CO will note on his report how many Aux pios during the time of his last visit. Totally ADD
