I'm lost
by Dyfii innot at all.. i tried to kill myself 3 times.
i was 14, nobody likes me at school, my weight was a problem, i tought that god wasn't there for me, my life had no sense.
at 15-16 i decided it was enough.

What a wonderful, touching story. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. We are here for you. You are who you are and don't worry about what gender the person you love is. Love who you want to and don't let anyone rob you of your joy. The times are changing and different kinds of lifestyles are becoming more acceptable.
Please never think about killing yourself again. That's rule number 1. Find someone to love and accept the love in return. You may never have the kind of relationship you want with your parents but that's something you will have to learn to deal with and let go of.
Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses is never going to work for you. My uncle is gay and he had to leave the organisation. They just don't understand and they never will.
Once you learn the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses, you will probably be fine with never going back to the Kingdom Hall. They only accept people who fit into their mold. Don't let them hurt you anymore. Live and Love, my friend.

Did any of you know the TATT before you left?
by marriedtoajw ini know that all everyone's experience vary but i ask this because i am under the impression that since jw's are taught to avoid reading material that may be critical of their teachings they just stay away.
yet many of you violated this at some point to come accross information that confirmed or convinced you of "the problems" with the org.
i have also spoken to active jw's online who seem to know the controvercies but still defend the org vigorously.

I would occasionally lurch in my seat when they changed their "viewpoint" so easily about things they were previously adamant about. I had been through some rough times with the way I was treated by the so called shepherds in our congregation but was wiling to stay in dispite these concerns.
One day, while on a five hour plane trip with my sister (grandma jones), she told me all about what she learned about ttatt and I was stunned. I still wanted to worship Jehovah and knew there was no place else to go. I went to the meetings but it was never the same again. After a couple of weeks I just quit cold turkey.
I was a divorced 57 year old woman who was never super active. No one really seemed to notice and I have been pretty much left alone and hope it stays that way. I am glad I am free.

my husband has been disfellowshipped for 2.5 years now.
i was part of the reason he left the organization for good, although he had stopped believing long before being kicked out.

You are already on the right track. Be loving and supportive. Allow him to express his own self. This will show him the difference between you and his father and his JW family. He will see how restrictive and controlling they are. The odds are in your favor as of right now, only 1 in 3 people stay in the organisation. Have fun and enjoy raising him. Time and your loving care will take care of this situation.

We just noticed that on the same page as the video are many, many apostate videos that the Watchtower Society will definately not want anyone to see.
We must all log onto youtube and make this the Watchtower Society's worst nightmare. This really backfired on them.

Cats and Dogs should not be spayed or neutered!
by IMHO ina controversial subject that hasn't been talked about here for 10 years (or so it seems on my quick search).. .
i think it's wrong to spay or neuter.
i bet most of you will disagree.. my vet just called me an irresponsible owner for refusing to have my cat spayed..

Cats are just like we are but without judgement and reason. Unspayed and unneutered cats will run out any door or window, tear through screens, etc to mate. That's nature's way. Expect trouble, my friend if you don't do something.
