Your post brings back memories. Toward the end of my working life I was hating the job, getting up in the morning, some of the folks at work and resented having to do the work, which really wasn't work as I sat at a desk all day. Thank goodness for retirement !!

Will YOU Make Room For It? RoadTripII
by Know_You init is with a mixture of joy and sadness that mrs know_you and i depart john and eunice's sanctum of sanity.
truly their home is an enclave of peace in this mad, doomed, sybaritic world.
what a contrast to the spiritual lunatic asylum inhabited by the apostates with their shrill cacophony, their puny fists, like the men of babylon, raised in anger to their creator!

Of course, in their enthusiasm the brothers in the congregations - those of the Jonadab class - have sometimes fallen into this trap - we talked of the years just before 1975 when many brothers misapplied Brother Franz's fine insighful comments and mistakenly held that 1975 would see the end.
Misapplied my arse. I was there, I know what was said and written. I really don't think you are speaking of us older folks here because we know you are either lying or deluded. There is all kinds of info that can be gleaned from this board, if you will but look it up. If you are too lazy to search for this info I will be glad to help.

136, which the folks who wrote the test says is highly gifted, wonder what the hell they're smoking?? However if we take off 13 points the score is 123 which just makes me above average. I can live with that.

7 Soldiers Killed while trying to rescue JW hostag
by Rado Vleugel infierce clashes between philippine marines and abu sayyaf rebels on the southern island of jolo left at least seven soldiers dead and 25 others wounded while trying to rescue four female jehovah's witnesses.two male witnesses were already beheaded by the rebels.. .
read it on http://www.watchtowerinformationservice.org/ .

I suspect rescuing the witnesses was a secondary goal of the operation. The Phillipine Army is going to have more casualtys in the future in trying to root out these muslim terrorists, so it is probable they would have attacked this bunch rather the witnesses were there or not.

Who was the first person who asked: "why don't we stuff some dried bread crumbs up a turkeys butt, roast the whole mess and then see how it tastes?"

Hey Scootergirl,
Apparently your parents are about to "see the light," as it is highly unlikely they showed up on the same door step as the three of you by accident. How about telling the whole story. I've always had this crazy notion that reverse shunning eventually works to the advantagage of the one who was first shunned, at least in some cases.
Glad to see you enjoyed your little reunion and may you have many more. Bill
