I blame the leading cause of this is from Airport security. Those guys like to fondle foreigners, and if they are travelling alot on their own, well, watchout. I was violated the last time I took a trip from some Asian security guard, who didn't even offer me dinner.

Oh...my mistake. The "Discreetly", word was used in connection to the Non-Witness relatives. (I reread your comment to get that straight). Oh well, that's good clarification, and always good to get a 2nd set of ears to hearing what was said. Thanks....Good thread.

Bobcat, that was very good listening skill. So, JWGonebad is right. The word discreetly was used at your location. I missed it, apparently. It would be interesting to see how the GB interprets this.

sold ducks today opposite JW cart
by nugget intoday my husband and i sold plastic ducks for the annual duck racing fund raising event opposite a jw cart.
in the 2hour period we sold over a 100 ducks putting our jw training to good use proactively approaching people, overcoming objections and generally wishing people success.
cantleave went round the local businesses selling to the shops and generally was received positively.

Well, it is a bit of a change from knocking on doors. As far as literature being accepted over ducks, you have them beat. Ducks rock.

The real reason why govts and local councils allow literature carts!
by stuckinarut2 ini have noticed something.. you know how we hear (and have seen for ourselves to be honest), that whenever a venue or stadium is rented for a jw event it is always cleaned better than before, and left in better condition than it was found?.
our local council has stumbled on this too!
the area they let the literature cart be set up, gets really trashed, and messy with garbage and leaves etc.

That's an interesting observation. Stuck..

What is the Watchtower's(R) Objective with the APATHY TROLLEY(CART)?
by punkofnice ini wefer to my pwevious fred http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/280829/2/i-saw-a-trolley-cart-to-you-cousins-in-the-u-s-a.
if the wbt$ is losing money and drones then why so much apathy surrounding the trolley/cart?.
why are they not being more pro-active with this 'urgent, never to be repeated work(tm)?'.

Disfellowshipping - The 10 year rule?

One should not be reading to much into this ten year rule. The resources have stated 10 years after reinstatement, the person can qualify for......
This doesn't imply that a DF person could walk into KH and expect to erase everything as if it didn't happen. There is still the reinstatement that must take place according to the material discussed.

So that's it? Something written in the Lamp book, back in the 60's? We were also told that we shouldn't dance the twist back then, but, now we twist and shout every wedding we are invited to. If anyone mentions the Lamp Book today in an Elders meeting, he'd be laughed outside the room.

I read a few of the posts for this thread, and just fast fwd to reply. I hope I'm not repeating someone elses comments.
When you are ready to talk about your past, only give small dosages. i.e. My family is deep into religion....etc. Then only answer his questions, don't volunteer more information at this time.
