  The aspect of Shamanism that I practice is more about directing our earth energies to control our life better and to bring order to our mind. There are aspects to affecting other people as well.

  As for the Romania, I put that as a joke ... I am in the USA, Oregon to be exact. :)

  They do keep a file on you, if you are inactive and had people report on you. That way if you ever return they can discuss these issues with you. That is very much true!!!! There is very little hidden secret info in the organization though, and I know a lot of people think there is. Most of the procedures elders follow can be found online. They are not like the Jews with some secret inner Temples. They are more compared to a business with a company hand book.

  Honestly though, for the most part ... they want to leave inactive people alone.

  To all

  I wanted to point out something, since it came up. The count of Witnesses is based on people who turned in time in the last service year. They take the peak month, which is normally a summer month because many people turn in two months at once because of vacation. Each card represents one person!!! If you did not turn in time this year, you have not been counted.

  Also, as for recent KM's. I have not read that garbage since 1996, but I do know it was only a short time ago that a in-law tried to turn me in and got the shut door. I will quote a DO at a Elders Meeting ...

  "We have enough work to do with keeping the flock who attends safe, if someone has stepped into the word on there own and want to stay that way. Leave them alone and treat them like people of the world. We need to take care of our own!!!"

  ... Of course the exception would be if you went out and raised a stink, like starting a anti-JW program or trying to tell people you were a JW in a public format. Then they do have to go after you and take you out of the religion in a legal way. If you are like me though, you really wont care anymore.

  When I left the religion, I walked away and did not get DF'ed or DA myself. In doing so, my wife left the religion at the same time. In our life we have been very nonWitness in our life. We have disowned Christianity, and practice Shamanism. We celebrate every holiday for Pagan reasons and are deep in martial arts. So a lot of people ask, how come you have not been disfellowshiped?

  When I was a elder, which is what I was when I left, I knew the answer to this question and still do. That is why I handled things the way that I did with being inactive. The thing is, elders are suppose to take care of the congregation. So anything separate from the congregation is not their business. They are only suppose to disfellowship people who are wanting to attend or who were active when they sinned and did not show remorse, basically they live a life that is not in line with their rules. To the point, follow the rules or get out. If you left on your own and did something, they honestly did not care ... as you took yourself out on your own. Now I am not saying there isn't a few zealots out there that do not know this info and go after everyone like they are the police, as we had someone like that too. The thing is the CO removed that person for wasting time on matters that were not productive and he is now out of the religion ... basically, he wanted power!

  So if you walked away and you worry if they might hunt you down some day and DF you, don't!! They really do not give a crap any more then you do. My wife and I have been turned into elders of 3-4 different congregations that we know of, by people who wanted us DF'ed and none of them did a thing. In fact, the last time they were down right bold in telling the family members involved to drop it and leave it alone.

  some here have been privy to certain scandals such as pedophilia in your congregation.

  we have never had such a scandal in our area that became well-known.

  one of the worst scandals i've heard was that of how 2 elders terrorized an entire congregation.anybody that disagreed with them, was considered disloyal.

  One time the PO said on stage that is favorite food was Italian, when it was really Chinese. The scandel nearly destroyed our congregation. :) Lying from the platform!!!!!!
