Dumb Elders

i knew a few pretty intelligent elders .

sometimes i would wonder why they remained as elders or even witnesses because they were successful men who made a good living and were highly respected because of their qualities.. that is a rather small group.

most elders that i know of aren’t the brightest bulbs in the sky.

Ha ha. Nice. I feel like I would have wanted to publicly ask him what his definition of “chronic,” in this context, meant.

i work at two separate hospitals and most of the rns i work with have stated they won't take the vaccine.

i've read a report that 1/3 of rns will refuse the vaccine.

for those in other countries do you see this being an issue or is it more an american phenomenon?.

I heard reports that the vaccine has a high rate of anaphylaxis. You can’t get this vaccine at, say, the drug store down the road. You have to get it at a hospital, surrounded by epipens. Then you go home and are horribly sick for a week, even though contracting the virus has a much higher probability of being symptomless.

I am perfectly content letting others give it a try first. Actually, I would prefer ALL politicians take it first as an example. If something goes wrong and they platz ... or grow a third nipple... well, the world would be better for it.

It's simply shocking that almost 3000 people lost their lives in one day in the US because of making masks political.

Did 3000 people die in one day or were those deaths spread out over months, but simply reported on a single day for dramatic effect?

This virus has been made political, right from the very start, even the start of this thread, as you encourage *Republicans* to “wake up”.

What is the death rate for this virus?

If you graph deaths over time for states, counties that did not lock down and wear masks, and you did the same for areas that did lock down .... the charts look the same. There’s no way to tell the difference from the data. That’s not political, that’s objective.

I read through President Elect Biden's proposal and even if these laws get past they will be very difficult to enforce.

Yeah, there will be no compliance with those laws (if they can manage to get them passed). And they won't stand through the courts. Just hot air.

No. More guns equals more safety.

You take guns away, crime rises. Crime rises, businesses leave. Businesses leave, people in the area experience poverty. Then people realize they actually need guns.

Police come after crimes occur. People generally want to intervene before that.

Are we really at this place again? We just watched record gun purchases in areas like California and Portland. Did they buy shirt loads of guns and ammo because those areas were flooded with guns and people were feeling extra insecure? Or was it because there was no possible way the police were going to do anything about the leftist mobs burning through the streets?

I saw it first hand. I was there as these mobs threatened to move into the residential neighborhoods around the nearby city. The only thing that stopped them were home owners brandishing their weapons and promising that if they entered the neighborhood, a good number of them wouldn’t leave.

The “oh-I-can’t-ban-it-so-let-me-just-tax-it-out-of-existence” won’t work. It’s a prohibition through taxes, and it’s still a prohibition. It will be struck down.

The left is forking with fire here. The riots sealed the deal - guns are necessary. It’s really not a good idea to pursue this. I mean good forking lord - the same people that feel the election wasn’t quite on the up-and-up are the same people who are getting censored.... which are the same people with a shirt load of guns. A “buyback” will only be interpreted as a an attempt to disarm everyone before the real tyranny begins. And it’s not illogical to think the real tyranny would be coming, as that very same group has already been marginalized and censored.

when i say; “socialist” i don’t mean everyone is equal.

instead i am referring to “leaders” being rich and powerful, whereas the ordinary citizen being poor, and powerless.. i was surprise that the majority of the world is run by socialist government.

the last few countries that are not socialist are the united states and parts of europe.

Socialism has a lot of problems. Even assuming people can change so completely that the motivational problem goes away, it is still impossible.
