  i wanted to relate this experience i had on sunday while renewing ties with an old friend.

  we argued about the meaning of daniel 4 and nebuchadnezzar's "tree dream".

  my friend had insisted this dream told the reader the length of the gentile times.

  Yes, there is so much assumption tied to 1914 and that's the approach I've worked on as well.

  In fact, the entire religion [every unique doctrine originating with them] is based on extra-biblical assumption.

  if god is almighty, would he not have preserve the true church that jesus and the apostles build today?

  instead of letting satan and apostates infiltrated the true church,so that its true teaching and the true church perished or was rejected by both jehovah and christ because of apostacy!if the true church survived and is with us today, where do the jehovah s witness organisation stand?.

  god's promise to abraham was that his descendants would be innumerable as stars in the heavens and sands of the sea.

  this promise prophetically included the gentiles and was ratified by the vision in revelation 7 when the other sheep are presented before the throne.. now adding the faithful in ancient israelites to the 144,000 saved in 19 centuries and then injecting the modern unanointed wts class formed after the start of the twentieth century.....we are still talking piddly numbers.. .

  so if the formula is:.

  Oh, no one fogot them. The innumerable "Great Crowd" are those justified ones that washed their robes through earthly tribulation....not the 20 billion unjust who only have an opportunity to justify themselves in a paradise setting during the 1000 year WTS reign.;o)

  Here is another line of questioning OUTLAW suggested:

  Can you explain what theocratic warfare means to Jehovah Witnesses?

  - Does theocratic warfare entitle JWs to misrepresent the truth to persons they consider unworthy of truth?

  - So would you say JWs are trained to deceive people?

  - How can we know when Jehovah's Witnesses are actually telling the truth about their beliefs?

  What about the Tribulation?

  the tribulation was not specifically covered in my "bible studies".

  but the main "teacher" several times said how she prayed for strength that she would remain true to jehovah when she was tested "in the persecutions".. so, i understand that there has to be some sort of tribulation and persecution of the faithful before armageddon.

  why i'm confused is that every stock market dip, new virus or extreme weather event is hailed as the beginning.

  - Should anyone have to choose between their family and their religion?

  - What does shunning involve?

  I like your 1914 generational question. I'll add that to my list of possible questions for street encounters with JWs.

  How about...

  4. Is it true your organization taught that the 1914 generation was the final generation?

  - How is that possible when the youngest person who could understand the events of 1914 would be well over a hundred by now?

  - If the generation Jesus spoke about would "surely" not pass away, you think He would be talking about a thriving generation - no?

  - Can you explain what Jesus meant by "This generation" and show how Matthew or any other gospel writer employs a similar meaning?
