@satanus-yes my grandparents (and my parents sadly) are dead. They would have been so happy to know I am no longer in the jw cult.
But Judaism is not for me. I did not want to be a rabbi. I'm done with religion.

i tried to find it, but it's gone.
as well as the jehovah's witness fb page.
it seems in the recent weeks those sites became "overrun" with apostates and were no longer encouraging.
@moshe- you are so right.jws make it a capital crime if you stop attending their meetings.
I forgot all about agape!
i feel like not being part of anything since god knows when.
i ve tryed, but to make a long story short: i don t fit in to anything.. i can t get out of these bleeding depressions.
so i ll go out tonight for the last time in my life and take an overdose at the end.. its been nice meeting you all.
varian- please listen to what everyone is saying here and get help. Things WILL get better. Don't give up.
from a discussion i had with an active sister this past week.
they had no "issues" with accepting the new generation understanding at all, she said.
all the brothers agreed with the reasoning, apparently there were no protests, murmerings or complaints.
@agonus-the only witness I ever see is always telling me the end is so close. If they did not believe that they'd have no reason to continue being witnesses.

@diamondiiz- you are right. My jw brother has no trouble accepting the new generation teaching at all. He gladly accepts what the GB ("The Slaaaaave" as he calls it!) comes out with. Most jws will never bother to think deeply on these things. I knew 607BCE was not accepted by the world, but the world was run by Satan so it did not matter! I keep hoping something will get my brother to wake up regarding "the truth" but I doubt it will happen. They are just too willing to accept any "new light" the gb throws at them no matter what it is. As long as they are held captive to the" God's organization/ faithful slave" concept they just can't break free.

That is ironic! I left the Jewish religion and became a witness! My grandparents disowned me. They wanted me to become a rabbi and instead I ended up joining a cult!
did any of you former or current bethelites work at the 117 adams street complex?
were you proud of the expansive size of the facility and the huge amount of literature produced there?
were announcements made to you regarding production statistics and what you had accomplished there each year?
@wasblind- thank you! Believe me I would never report anyone. Some would consider me an apostate for rejecting the new generation teaching and in fact the JWs in my cong have been ignoring me for the past 5 years! Your apology is accepted! :).You are welcome to send personal messages anytime!
@DanaBug- I don't know why anyone would lie about being a witness or not. My brother keeps suggesting it to me and I was thinking if none of those who say they are former bethelites could answer my questions or if somehow I know more about the Printery than they do than maybe they are not really former bethelites. Anyway, I'm just disappointed that none of them commented on my post.
If they did leave Bethel a long time ago then of course they would not know what work is being done in the factory complex now. What year did you last visit Bethel Dana? If you don't mind my asking. I guess the printing operation is not as fasinating or interesting to most other people than it is to me. I went to school to become a printer. Sadly it did'nt work out for me to get a career in printing as you need a lot more experience than my 2 years in vocation school to get hired as a pressman.
Thank you both and pirata too for taking the time to read my post and comment. You may be interested to know I wrote to Bethel for information many times but was not given answers to my questions. They always said they" do not have the resources to obtain the information" I am asking about. Yet, each year they update that info in the printery lobby! Of course I have no way to get there to tour and see it. I guess you would not be surprised that the society will not answer my questions. I guess I ask the "wrong ones"!

@wasblind-I've read posts by former Bethelites on this board , so yes, I was hoping a few of them would respond to my questions. Perhaps they have not come across this yet? But, yes, I am new here. I asked what depts are at Adams st now because some active JWs seem to be on this board and some former bethelites may know what depts are housed there now. I was hoping for some information.
Why you think that is funny I don't know. Also you state that you get suspicious when people start asking all kinds of questions. That's strange. You say I don't mean any harm? Why would anyone think I mean any harm for asking questions about Bethel? Especially when there are people on this board who claim to be former bethelites? Or is my JW brother right when he tells me that people on these forums lie about being former/active witnesses, elders, bethelites etc?
I no longer go to meetings or consider myself a witness and I know that the WTs is not God's organization, but I have been collecting information on the major printing companies for over 20 years and still have some interest in the society's printing operations-they are still one of the 10 largest printing companies in the world, in the top 5 probably.
If any real former bethelites are on this board I hope they will share their thoughts about what I asked with me. If someone wants to question my motives in asking such questions that is their problem. I can assure you that if I was still a witness there is no way I would be visiting this forum!
i've got one!.
you don't have to wait in long xmas lines at the store to buy xmas presents.
as a matter of fact, you don't have to buy a damn thing!.
Oh yea! The cheese danishes! I loved those too! and back in the late 70's and 80's the anticipation and excitement of getting new books released at the conventions! I was an avid reader and eagerly awaited each new release.
