The Religion Of Rejection - And Now That Includes Me

due to some recent developments i find myself in a new place, and at this point i've lost all of my family and fri....oh that's right, i never really had any friends in the organization anyway.

just people that wanted something from me and a few people that i would invite to do things that occasionally said yes.

the recent rejections of me got me thinking, so let's take a rejection inventory.. i had to reject all of the holidays when my parents started studying.. i had to reject any worldly friends that i already had.. even family became rejected, and the new religion had some place in that.. i was rejected in school and bullied all of the time, not just because we were poor and i made good grades, but for jw reasons too.

I think what you have written is a classic.......... a keeper for sure! You might think further about how powerful your words would be to those still trapped in this cult and need to see this reality.

There should not be anything that would cause mommy& daddy to throw away their child. Imagine those kids getting that message as 4 or 5 year olds.

They rigidly stuck to their scripts ....mommy tripped-up by saying "I always told them........."...to.... "I told them" In order to put this extreme pressure on the young people ........they schemed to make this crap up too! LIARS!

1. sunday mornings.

alarm not set, cuddles with the mrs, tunes in the bedroom, coffee, bacon, another lazy coffee in the garden .

Having time all spread out before me .........no mtg Tue nite, Thur nite Sun morning, service Wed & Fri. No funerals to 'support', no driving some poor shmuck around because their car is worn out. No babysitting so mothers can get out in serve-us! No making meals for the CO. No cleaning the hall on Saturdays or ASSembly hall along with landscaping!

Geez ........where were OUR LIVES in all of this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh ya ........the no pants for sisters thing. Now jeans pretty much 7 days a week!

From this day forward, see yourself as a good, caring person. Live your life without looking over your shoulder for an invisible killer ......he doesn't exist. If there were a god of love he wouldn't be making you feel so scared. Learn to love yourself and stand up for your natural rights for a decent life.

it has been 2 and a half years since my departure from the religion.

i was told by my parents from the start that i would never speak to them until i returned to jehovah dog.

a few months later they told people they hoped i died before the end came, then all of this culminating in them telling my inactive / fading sister that they don't consider me a child anymore and they have given me up to satan.

Unscripturally Free To Be Married - the Contradications

so far i have worked out 2 challenges to this ridiculous, stupid cruel imposed rule that results in disfellowshipping.

(1) if someone is still scriptually married after a divorce, and moved back in with their ex, they would be disfellowshipped.

so then on what grounds did you ever mean someone was still married?

Two of our exjw's were given such a hard time by the elders. They were both free to remarry but the 'sister' had no proof to show the elders without outright stalking her ex to take pictures etc of his actions. They did marry but suffered the wt consequences of 3 yrs of being df'd for disobeying elders & getting married!
