New CO Rules
by Quarterback ina few years past, i remember a post mentioning that this was the last period of the circuit overseer arrangement.
apparently, a local brother would be chosen to represent the society, and visit the congregations.
just wondering, because our co hasn't announced who the new co is, and he is suddenly retiring.

Help from those with the CD rom
by elderelite ini am desperately trying to get my wife to be balanced with the fs thing.
she is obsessed with being a pioneer.
i am so close to getting her to stop... yknot has been invaluable with a lot of personal things that have made a big difference, but i need a little nudge... if someone can find a quote from a wt source that shows it is wrong to neglect family to pioneer... damn hard to find.

Refurbished iPhones- Is It Worth it?
by Band on the Run inmy finances are tight b/c of illness.
an important part of being desireable to employers is being technologically proficient.
it seems strange b/c my employers would pay for anything even if only remotely related to the job.

Was Last Supper a Passover meal ?
by Phizzy inaccording to russell in zions watchtower of march 1896 he wanted his little church in allegeheny to celebrate the last supper on nisan14 becuase jesus instituted it then, some time after 6pm, by 3pm the next afternoon, still nisan14 he was dead.. at 6pm three hours later nisan15 began, passover began, and the jews would eat the lamb and bitter herbs, when the sun was down... so russells view was that jesus did not celebrate passover, being dead, on preperation day.. thus jesus died at the time the lambs were being slaughtered in jerusalem.. if i am correct the wt's latest explanation on this is not quite as clear as russells.
they seem to infer the last supper was a seder, a passover celebration, and that the slaughter of the lamb ,eating of the lamb, and jesus death all took place on nisan 14, have i got that right, or as usual is phizzy in a mucking fuddle ?

Question regarding Leviticus 19:27?
by stillstuckcruz inso why is there no facial hair other than the top allowed?
obviously some would say for overall neatness but technically unscriptual.
other verses in lev chapter 19 are used to make moral points.. verse 26( you must eat nothing along with blood.
