  i have been getting a steady stream of notes from people around the world who are not able to make it to the trial, but want to offer their support for her.

  i thought we might extend the opportunity to those on the board to send her a note that would be delivered when we arrive there.

  Am I The Only One................................?

  am i the only one that catches myself either whistling or humming kingdom songs?.

  usually i catch myself before i go to far as not to embarase myself.. my wife who is still very active gets a pretty good charge when she catches me at it.. you would think after being away for almost six years that would not happen.. just wondering if it happens to any of you?

  No, that hasn't happened to me yet. Probably because I wasn't in as long as many of you ( 7 years).
  I was dissappointed when I first went to the kingdom hall. No one sang with enthusiasm or from the heart. There wasn't a single song that I thought had a catchy beat.
  I must admit that JW's do stand apart from all other churches when it comes to their singing and their kingdom melodies.......They're the flattest and the worst...

  I believe that sending cards or flowers to Erica would help her beyond words. What a lovely idea. I jotted down the address and hope all participate. Imagine if that were your child. Knowing that you had support from countless others would give strength and comfort.

  tonight i was at a fellow jdubs house.. there was 3 couples.

  my wife was in the can.

  somehow, in the split second she dissappeared, the conversation turned to pedophiles, catholic priest and how they cover it up.

  here i was in happy-no one is really bothering me too much-lala land, until yesterday when i had to go and open my mouth.

  a pioneer sister from our hall emailed me to inquire what was preventing me from attending the meetings, and asked what was holding me back from going.

  (this is about the 5th or 6th email asking this question) welllllll, i guess i just reached a point where i couldn't pretend anymore.

  "this good news will be preached for a witness to all the inhabited nations and then the end will come" nobody else is preaching any good news as far as i can see?

  I'm glad you brought this up because it weighed on my mind when I was doubting. I think as a JW I was programmed to believe that the ONLY was to witness was the way JW's witness. I don't believe that anymore. There are ministries on T.V. and on the radio that reach many people. I've had co workers that are baptist ect. ect. talk about God to me as well as invite me to their church. ( I never went). I think its the Gideons that leave bibles in all hotels. Its not just witnesses who witness . JW's are told over and over how unique they are.
  Also, What good news are they actually spreading ? Watchtower magazines. Did the disiples do that ??? Why don't witnesses use JUST the bible. 2Tim3:16 Isn't the bible COMPLETELY equipped to handle questions and spread the good news.

  I knew before I read Crisis of Conscience. Someone here (I can't remember which poster) mentioned the prodigals son and how when someone tries to be reinstated they are not treated like that. WOW that hit my heart. On another web site Beacon's i read about shunning. There again it hit my heart and hard. Crisis of Conscience affected my brain.... my heart already made up my mind.

  Calm down before Dateline

  i'm just like everyone else here when it comes to the upcoming dateline nbc segment.

  i am really anxious to hear in advance what is going to be said and i sincerely hope that not only will it help the "silent lamb" victims but that it will also reach at least a few hearts in the witnesses.. but i've been seeing constant references to it lately and i get the idea that some of us may have too high of hopes.. by no means do i mean to try to discourage silentlambs, i think sl will understand and agree with what i am saying here.. my friends, please remember that this will be a situation of 20 minutes or so of airtime by "worldly" media going against lifetimes of teachings by an old and highly skilled powerful worldwide organization.. one reporter from nbc will have approximately 20 minutes to present a very complicated issue with interviews and narration and some minutes will be sacrificed for commercials.

  even if nbc decided to devote an entire dateline episode to the topic, it would still leave only a scant amount of time to try and deliver such a weighty story.

  as we see a rising tide of problems confronting the new watchtower leadership, and a tidal wave swelling on the horizon, some interesting rumours are starting to trickle out.

  we are waiting to see what the fallout will be following the dateline expose' on pedophilia cover-ups, which will undoubtedly lead to exposing the watchtower's policy to cover up other criminal behavior so as to not "bring reproach on jehovah's name.

  " rumour is that the factions at headquarters are becoming increasingly divided.
