I AM A NEWBIE, NEED HELP

i have been lurking around here for some time,,, i personally know laurie fitzwater and what she has gone through we lived in bradenton.

florida in the late 80's .... she is the one telling me to come here for help ,,, a hug ,,, i have a nightmare of a story which involves married to a professed annointed one who made me and my childrens life pure hell on earth....i guess he needed to be replaced as he was df twice and was never a ms or elder..... go figure i suffer from severe depression and post-traumatic stress and have tried to end it all numerous times... but the turning point for me was this demon--inspired internet and all the truth it contains i also read george orwells.. 1984 --big brother is watching ,,,, doublespeak;;;; its us versus them just to name a few of my eye---opening events i have 5 children,,, and only one my baby (16) in the borg....... i really cant go on ,,, i have emailed lady lee and she helped me alot .... but i have to be careful...... there are spies everywhere....i still attend meetings.

to some extent... missed the assembly this weekend tho.. so please be gentle and reasure me.... i am baby--stepping,,, i am doing the work.............

since the malawi/ mexico incident was one of the most shocking things we learned from coc and one of the things learned that opened our eyes...i was wondering..... are their any victims here or have there been?

can we find some?.

I am not a JW, never been. But I grew up in Mexico city and I can asure you the Mexican JW were not victimized to the degree of persecution and murder as the Malawis had to endure.

Was I part of the bribery? Yes. Honestly, the whole country functions on bribery. At every socio-cultural level. That is why I left for Canada with a one-way ticket and $100 in my pocket. When bribery is a way of dealing through daily routines, you end up perceiving it as "normal", so I am not alarmed that the Mexican JW bribed the military to obtain their cartilla without actualy performing the mandatory military service, what upsets me is that the WTBTS did not alow Malawis to live while were so relaxed with the Mexicans. And do you know why? Under Mexican law, religious organizations could not own property, land or bussineses, so the JW were registered as a "Cultural organization" and in order to retain their wealth in Mexico the WT had to keep quiet and alow JWs to become 1st military reserves after bribery to the military.

Mexican law has changed since, and the WTBTS can now legaly own what they already did in the 60s and 70s. According to R. Franz, THAT WA$ THE REA$ON FOR THE DOUBLE $TANDARD.

I believe disfellowshiping qualifies as a sanction.

Post edition: I read the articles, It seems to me he WT used legal language to satisfy Bulgarian requirements to qualify as religious organization but the doctrine remains unchanged. Therefore it seems not a double-standard but an hipocresy case.

I agree that most JW are victims one way or another. But Malawi / Mexico is an example of double standards in which Mexicans had the long end of the stick.

Again, lets see another double-standard where in Bulgaria the WT gives free choice regarding blood transfusions: http://www.ajwrb.org/basics/abandon.shtml while in the rest of the world . . . well people die to glorify the "top 40 New York bussiness".

I was raised in Mexico. Considering the scope of the horror, I don't think Mexican JWs were "victims" other than being at the oposite extreme of the WTs double standard.

Armageddon Starting

now you all may laugh at me, but last night about 1am, i wake up to find my bed shaking!!

when i looked around the room the walls were shaking, what was going on???.

now you all may have this happen, but in the uk it is very very rare, we were experiencing our first earthquake in 15 years, well my jw head clicked in, is this armageddon??.

Elders to discuss Rand Cam - Info Req'd

2 elders are visiting us next friday 11 oct.. i urgently need some information on how i can obtain original documents regarding the rand cam shares.. i have printed out loads of earlier discussions from this forum, (thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work) but i need to have some authentic material on hand, because that's obviously what they are going to ask for.
