  freddy franz, the great wt prognosticator, had a lot of time on his hands in the 1950s to come up with the strangest end-time assertions and create a sense of urgency.

  occasionally, he would even prognosticate approximate amounts of jws who would actually survive armageddon and never die.

  for example.... already there are reported over a half million serving as witnesses in the newborn land with the new world society.

  from 1982 - 1995 it stated:.

  "most importantly, this magazine builds confidence in the creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new order before the generation that saw the events of 1914 c.e.

  I knew 1914 was bogus in 1993 I took my stand and I came out and denounced it.I wrote certified letters and left answering machine messages to the congregation elders, to document my position.

  I had a crisis of conscience before I discovered Ray Franz COC masterpiece.

  There was an appeal committee I did not go quietly and I was dfed for apostasy over my 1914 stand.

  VINDICTIATED now, after my JW family was totally destroyed we have now 5 gens of JW family not speaking to each other,and they hate my apostate guts...

  October 1914 for Jesus second coming 'invisibly' is the CORE CREED of Jehovah's Witnesses

  For the Watchtower to drop this creed is like the Mormons dropping Joseph Smith and the golden plates or the Catholics to drop Mary as the 'mother' of god.

  HELLO! The fact that the Watchtower always does this 'progressive' shit slowly in increments proves they are manipulative cult charlatan psychopaths.

  So how does the Watchtower cult get followers to do an extremely antagonistic duty of door to door? Ans-They scare you into it I was told over and over that we would all do the horrible warning work and if I "couldn't do it in easy times how will I do it at the great tribulation"? The JW 'Warning Message'.
  How and why Jehovah Witnesses perform like a terrorist group.As an impressionable child I was phobic indoctrinated with doomsday preparations about the Watchtowers coming 'warning work'. That we would some day 'soon' be required by Jehovah our God to go door to door and declare to every home with a judgemental proclamation,'that every man,woman,child is about to die horribly' and the only salvation is the JW who are no longer allowing anyone into their 'ark of salvation'. This very inflammatory hate message would incite jealous non believers to 'attack God's anointed' and provoke his wrath to bring about Armageddon with only JW who were obedient and trusting in Jehovah permitted to survive. (We were all told this over and over and when I bring it up in post today JW apologist say I am lying)

  somehow the popes word now will be taken as proof the truth is right.

  Jehovah's Witnesses reject all holidays even benign Mother's day,exception being the Lord's evening meal also called the Last Supper or Good Friday. WHY-Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t do Thanksgiving,and other holidays. I was born Jehovah’s Witness 1957 3rd generation,we didn’t celebrate Christmas. The reason JW’s don’t do Christmas is because their Watchtower leaders say so,the holiday has pagan aspects to it and by rejecting it the Watchtower appears “pure”.
  This “demand for purity” is one of the 8 marks of a cult....Now the Watchtower can use this purity diversion to distract from their own false dogmas. Jesus was not born on Dec 25th,but he also did not have his second coming in the month of October 1914,which is the core doctrine of the Watchtower religion. The Watchtower leaders want us to be 'different' for the sake of being different.Jehovah's Witnesses are not 'happier' and are just as dysfunctional as families who do holidays.

  Thank you for creating an awareness of this issue! Jehovah’s Witnesses have many issues with sexual molestation of children.The religion and its members are more concerned about protecting the group image than the victims. Jehovah’s Witnesses child abuse problem at a glance: Recent Watchtower legal department ’damage control’ in house memos on ’correcting’ past cover ups and years of past stone walling/foot dragging does not undo decades of child abuse damage. Too little too late!

  BREAKING NEWS: Watchtower's Charitable Status UNDER THREAT in Britain !

  there is an article today in daily mail one of the largest uk newspapers about the plymouth brethren that should worry every thinking jehovah's witness.. the charities commision in britain is threatening the charitable status of a small offshoot of the aglican church the plymouth brethren .the reason ?

  they don't perform enough charitable work for their local community .

  at a time where the tax avoidance of large businesses such as google ,ebay,amazon and starbucks is under serious question in britain ,the charities commision's investigation into this little church's charitable status comes as no surprise .the 2006 charities act forced charities, often at high cost, to 'demonstrate' value to society .so far being a christian church automatically exempt you off taxes ,this is not the case anymore .

  As others have said, Jehovah’s Witnesses for most part don’t support any charities because Watchtower teaches them that the only way people will get help is through God’s kingdom so helping poor is a waste of time. Watchtower also teaches that the way to help people is for JWs to preach to others their message which for most part includes much misrepresentation of the group’s history, misrepresentation of many sources they quote in their magazines and basically being negligent when it comes to human life when in need of blood.
