Jehovah's Witnesses also take whole blood, as long as it's called "current therapy." This is something not found in medical literature, per se. But, it is described by the religion as a taking of blood from a person, mixing it with compounds in a lab, and later retransfusing the blood back into the patient.
So, it appears that JWs can have their blood separated from their body and later reuse it too. If this doesn't sound *bloodless* to any of you reading it, it's not. And, the result is that the JWs are questioning their religion's requirement that they not take a blood transfusion.

Need some help guys on blood
by alanv inrecently on the topix website we have talking about blood transfusions.. it has been asserted by one ex witness that jws are now allowed to store their blood providing it is for a limited time.
for example the blood could be taken from the patient sent to the lab to have it cleaned or whatever, and then returned to the patient.
the november 2006 kingdom ministry was cited to back this up as well as a watchtower from 2000. my question is, are jws now allowed to store their blood for a current limited time?.

The Disfellowshipping of Jane
by jst2laws ini was preparing comments on another thread and some strange memories started to surface.
one that had haunted me years ago was the disfellowshipping of jan. she was a 30 something woman who had found herself single when her husband ran off with her good friend.
jane was no angel herself though: a slim, suntanned, blonde headed, party girl who's life style had made her quite familiar with the judicial process, which is how jane and i became more acquainted.

Young adults who are disfellowshipped/disassociated and houselessness?
by Aaron Eldridge ini was wondering if anyone knew of any individuals that became houseless when they were disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves.
i know that i had to move out of my house within a few months after i disassociated myself, but i believe that if i did not have anywhere to go my parents would not have kicked me out of the house.. .

When I exited (over 1914 generation) I did not fade I demanded a financial settlement for Watchtower fraud,they had got a lot of money from me. I was physically sick with a debilitating chronic disease and had severe PTSD I was HOMELESS and a series of events beginning with being put in protective custody by some kind police who bent over backwards to help me,then I spent 5 YEARS in a more shocker nice State Mental hospital in Boston run by Harvard university.
Things got better from there,The Watchtower cult PUTS A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE MENTAL HOSPITAL.

Its dead wrong most cases illegal to carry any kind of weapon door to door especially when you are cold calling without invitation on private property.
I would have liked to,and in fact sometimes carried dog repellent (never used it) to hostile calls and I now recoil in horror that I was brainwashed to think I had a right to assault somebody's dear pet.How would I like it if someone hurt my pets?
I went to courthouse the other day and had to pass through a metal detector they allowed NO weapons of any kind and no recording devices and if you don't like it keep out.
I am all for self defense,the JW should not be going door to door without trusting in their angels or just forget about it.

Anybody donate blood and send in the "You're Welcome Watchtower" card yet?
by Shawn10538 injust curious if anyoner has.. you can download the ajwrb brochure from ajwrb.org, and send in the page that is pre-addressed to the watchtower society, and basically says that you have donated blood and that the blood you donated will likely be transfused int a jw saving their lives.
it then suggests a "thank you" might be in order from ther watchtower since your own life blood was sacrificed so that jws could be saved.. i think this is a powerful action.
i hope the wt gets lots of these cards, and i can't wait until someone posts the "thank you for the thought" (cuz we all know that's how they are going to word it right?

If you've left JWs for Christ - will the end still come?
by flamegrilled insomething i don't see supported much on jwn is the notion that the end of this system is indeed coming, even if later than wts has predicted over the years.. now for those that have left and become complete non-believers (in the bible) that is understandable.
you guys are welcome to comment of course, but i'm far more interested in some feedback from the people who have left jws and pursued a christian course.
are you still convinced that there will be a war of armaggedon or do you now interpret the scriptures a different way?.
