  My new worries about my mom-Suicide?

  i love my jw mom.

  we have had issues and struggles, but she loves me, i love her and we tolerate a lot of things we differ about because of that love.. you may remember my dad died a little over 11 years ago, and my mom took to a lot of drinking and she was very depressed.

  i thought she would just die of despair or drink herself dead or drive drunk.. she has calmed down on the depression and i i know she still drinks too much, but i think it is a little more ocntained.

  Wow, that's tough.

  I would try and have a calm conversation and ask her point blank if she is thinking about ending her life. The hard part will be trying to maintain a calm and respectful tone. We can't control another person in the end.

  How to talk to an Elder (Need help ASAP)

  i never was a jehovahs witness.

  its been stated.

  so if i went up to a local congregation and knocked on the door how would i get to talk to an elder about my mother in law.... i have no interest in being a witness.

  I know everything I need to know about you because:

  1) You can't capitalize the first letter of your sentences.

  2) You blame other people for your problems instead of taking responsibility and moving on.

  3) You're vindictive like a teenage girl. You don't act like a mature married man.

  4) You do nice things for people and when they don't act the way you think they should, you look to "destroy" them. Have you ever considered becoming a JW yourself? You would fit in great.

  Should I keep going or do you get the idea? You come on this site, most of us victims of the Elder's and their B.S. and ask us how to wield that weapon against somone else for your petty piss-ant problems. BOO EFFF'N HOOO!

  If you loved your wife you would love her Mom, even if she is a bitch.

  Grow up Dude. Focus on putting a roof over your wife's head and not being a tough guy on the net. Go take your pity party somewhere else.

  Did any of you know the TATT before you left?

  i know that all everyone's experience vary but i ask this because i am under the impression that since jw's are taught to avoid reading material that may be critical of their teachings they just stay away.

  yet many of you violated this at some point to come accross information that confirmed or convinced you of "the problems" with the org.

  i have also spoken to active jw's online who seem to know the controvercies but still defend the org vigorously.

  September 11, 2001- Where were you?

  i work at a major airline in the in-flight training department.

  i was sitting at the desk on the computer, i kid you not... writing the security (hijacking) curriculum for 2002, when someone came in and told me a plane flew into the wtc.

  we all thought it was one of our planes.

  I woke up with a horrible red wine hangover. I got up right before the second plane hit and turned on the TV as I usually did when waking. I walked back in the bed room and told my girlfriend that she better wake up and see this. About 20 minutes later the first tower fell. It was unbelievable. I assumed it was imploded then as I do now.

  The really weird thing is what happened on Sept 10. I was cleaning a pool that afternoon and it was a clear blue sky, beautiful day. I kind of daydreamed off while cleaning looking up at an airliner flying over. With out any effort my lips muttered, "They are going to hit us from the air". It was like being possesed in a trance or when you have a song in your head and you finally just let the words out but much faster. I swear on my life that happened. I don't talk about it all the time. I guess I am part psychic. There are so many weird things about the whole event. We might never know the truth.

  No offense to anyone that was closer to the tragedy then I was.

  What do you think of Anonymous?

  i would like to hear from some of the tech-savy members: what do you think of anonymous.

  i went all day with no email and half the day with my co. website down b/c they wanted to prove a point with godaddy.. i kept up with the guy on twitter @anonymousown3r claiming responsibility.

  it could have been a trick, but he did seem very in control of the situation.. i started watching some of their videos on youtube.

  For all of you that keep trying to tell me anonymous doesn't exist...ya ya I know... They are secret shadowy nothings like batman, I get it. SPOOOOKY....

  Fact of the matter is someone took down Godaddy and screwed EVERYONE that had a domain registered through them. They can protest, curse, and boycott GoDaddy all day, but they have no right to interfere with my right to conduct business.

  These kooks inspire eachother and yes I know Anonymous doens't have a CEO and office tower but SOMEONE IS DOING THIS, DUH! I might not be a terrorist raised in the hills of Afghanistan but if I call myself Al Queda and strap a bomb to my chest, GUESS WHAT HAPPENS?!?!?!?! PEOPLE DON'T CARE, IT'S OFF TO GITMO WITH THE REST OF 'EM.

  Some of you buy into their Sh*t waaaay too much.

  Newchapter, I agree Godaddy has brought some of this upon themselves apparently supporting SOPA and bad PR. However, what bothers me the most is they could not resist this attack and for that reason I am looking at other alternatives. My decision to not do business will be just as much mine as it was to do business in the first place. I won't be bullied by some spooky kids (that half this board claim doesn't exist) that are Vitamin D depeleted and were coddled as children too much to even run a lemonade stand much less a business like mine.

  I am snort'n mad about this, so if anyone thinks I am being personal, I am not.

  I think you should start finding away to pay the rent instead of relying on your Mother-in-law. Otherwise your wife is going to find someone else and your MIL will have been right about you. On the bright side, you won't have to worry about how to talk to the elders anymore.

  P.S. They won't give a rat's ass about them associating with their disfellowshipped Mom. JW's are allowed to keep in contact with DF'd close family if they choose to do so. The fact that some do not is usually an execuse because they are resent that person is having fun in the "world".

  now would any "psychologist" on the board and i use the term loosely as i am not one professionally , and have a very rudimentary hazy knowledge of analysis.. but one of the things jung had to do with the subject is the shadow to be properly analyzed one needs to recognize the shadow we all have we all have one.

  and what happens when we repress a lot of things and stuff them into ones personal shadow, they get stronger and cause projection on the outside world that make one respond certain ways that might be termed as phobias or neurosis and even psychosis.. im sure we can spot a lot of denial and repression surfacing in what they cause to be published either publicly and in private correspondence.

  perhaps even some phobias or out right neurosis.. i bett you a really skilled psychologist could have a fruit picking holiday with the stuff they find on the net already published far and wide for all to see.

  Zid- Certainly the allure of power is there. But power mongers can be dull and boring people too. I mean why else work you way up to the GB, money, sex, fame. Nope just power. They are willing to be a straight arrow to get it as well. Which makes them a dullard in my book.

  if you need a breifing on what has been going on between Anon and GoDaddy.

  I am not going to get into symantics, one of their hacker bastards took down godaddy which took down my website and email deliberately. Godaddy is the Wal-Mart of hosting and domain registers. So the people punished were not Godaddy as much as Bob's Iron Works or Jimmy's Pizza shoppe. No email with clients, no web hosted orders, no customer's looking up our website to find our phone #, no nothing!

  Are you saying I am not a legit biz? I lost real money today.

  They took down Godaddy today. EVERYONE that has their website hosted or registered through Godaddy was offline and unable to access email or do anything web related. My email is more important than my phone.
